  1. Talk to Queen Ellamaria at the garden in the east part of the Varrock Castle. She will tell you that she is in need of a gardener and asks for your help.

Note: The easiest way to reach Varrock is via the Varrock teleport spell (requires 25 Magic) or Lodestone home teleport.

    Start point

  2. Agree to help her and Queen Ellamaria will give you a List of things needed to make the garden complete.

    List

  3. Head to Draynor Village and talk to the Wise Old Man at his house north of the bank. He will tell you a little story about what Queen Ellamaria used to do before she married King Roald. He will then tell you the story of Charos. Give him the Ring of charos and you will be asked a series of 7 questions. If you have answered the question correctly he will enchant Ring of charos into a Ring of charos (a). Below are the questions and answers.

Q: Two goblins are fighting over the colour of their armor. What do you do?
A: Show them a range of colours so they can come to a compromise

Q: A drunken dwarf offers you a kebab. What do you do?
A: Take his generous gift even though you have no need for it.

Q: Are you enjoying your experience of Farming?
A: It is absolutely, unquestionably the most interesting thing I've ever done!

Q: A dwarf asks you to put on a silly golden helmet so that you can be fired from a cannon into a wall. What do you do?
A: Put on the silly helmet and jump into the cannon.

Q: You meet Pkmaster0036 in the wilderness who asks who is the greatest player killer in the world. How do you answer?
A: You of course Pkmaster0036, no one could ever challenge your greatness!

Q: Queen Ellamaria orders you to go on a foolish quest without any offer of reward. What do you say?
A: I'll do whatever you ask - I just love the monarchy!

Q: A Draynor bank guard asks you if you have seen any suspicious characters lately, because the bank has been robbed. What do you say?
A: If I do I'll let you know.

Note: The easiest way to reach Draynor Village is via the Amulet of glory teleport to Draynor Village or Lodestone home teleport. If you only get a couple of questions wrong, he will still enchant your Ring of charos.

    Wise old man

  4. Equip the Ring of charos (a) and head to Port Phasmatys. Talk to Lyra about the seeds at the farming spot west of the city. Use the "Charm" option at each conversation prompt and she will tell you that you need to grow a patch of onions in one of the allotments. Agree to help her, but do not use the charm option this time. Weed one of the allotments and treat the soil with compost. Plant the Onion seeds and water the patch. Talk to her when the plants are ready to be harvested (~40 minutes) and she will give you 3 Orchid seeds (Pink) and 3 Orchid seeds (Yellow).

Note: The easiest way to reach Port Phasmatys is via a Ectophial teleport or by chartering a boat from Port Sarim to Port Phasmatys for 650 Coins. Secondly, you may activate Greenfingers aura to prevent your crops from becoming diseased.

    Lyra

  5. Make your way to the farming patch north of East Ardougne and ask Kragen about the Snowdrop seeds. Talk to him using the "Charm" option and he will ask you to grow a patch of cabbages in one of his spots. Agree to help him, but do not use the charm option this time. Weed one of the allotments and treat the soil with compost. Plant the Cabbage seeds and water the patch. Talk to him when the plants are ready to be harvested (~40 minutes) and he will give you 4 Snowdrop seeds.

Note: The easiest way to reach East Ardougne is via the East Ardougne teleport spell (requires 51 Magic and completion of the Plague City quest) or Lodestone home teleport. Secondly, you may activate Greenfingers aura to prevent your crops from becoming diseased.

    Kragen

  6. Talk to Elstan at the allotments south of Falador. Ask him about Delphinium seeds and once again use the "Charm" option on him for every answer. He will give you the seeds if you give him some Marigolds. Agree to help him, but do not use the charm option this time. Weed the flower patch in the center and treat the soil with compost. Plant the Marigold seed and water the patch. When they are fully grown (~20 minutes), pick the Marigolds. Give them to Elstan and he will give you 4 Delphinium seeds

Note: You must grow your own Marigolds, you are not able to just give him any marigolds. Secondly, once you plant the marigolds, do not talk to Elstan again. If you do the marigolds you are currently growing will not work and you will have to start again. You may also activate Greenfingers aura to prevent your crops from becoming diseased.

    Elstan

  7. Talk to Bernald just south of the Taverley loadstone. He will tell that his grapes need to be healed. Try using a Plant cure on the nearby grape vines, only to find out that it had no effect on the grape. Talk to him again and he will tell you to visit a Druid gardener near him.

Note: The easiest way to reach Taverley is via the Lodestone home teleport. If you need to bank there is also the bank nearby.

    Bernald

  8. Head to the southeast part of Taverley. Once there, talk to Alain, located at the tree patch south of the gate leading to Falador. Inform him about your problem, but do not use the charm option for your last response. He will tell you to take the essence to a anvil, use it on the anvil, and add it to Plant cure. Use the Pure/Rune essence on an anvil to break it into Rune shards. Then grind up Rune shards into Rune dust. Add the Rune dust to a regular Plant cure to create a special Plant cure.

    Alain

  9. Return to the vineyards south Rogues' Den and use the special Plant cure on the grape vines. This time the cure will have a healing effect on the vines. Now, talk to Bernald to receive 4 Vine seed.

  10. Next, ask Dantaera at the allotments north of Catherby about the White tree. She will tell you about a White tree on Ice Mountain that is dying. You will need to take a piece of the tree and plant it in a Plantpot filled with earth.

Note: The easiest way to reach Catherby is via the Camelot teleport spell (requires 45 Magic) or Lodestone home teleport.

    Dantaera

  11. Make your way to the Ice Mountain north of Falador. At the top of the mountain, you will find a White tree near the Oracle. Cut a White tree shoot from the White tree using a pair Secateurs. Use this shoot with a filled Plantpot and water it. After a short period of time the potted White tree shoot will turn into a White tree sapling.

Note: The easiest way to reach the Ice Mountain is via the Amulet of glory teleport to Edgeville or Lodestone home teleport and then walking west, past the Monastery.

    White tree

  12. Head to Monastery (Prayer Guild) and try to take a rose seed from one of the rose patches at the back of the Monastery. Brother Althric will forbid this because you are wearing an evil talisman.

    Monastery

  13. Go to Edgeville and throw your Ring of charos (a) into the well or destroy it. Head back to the Monastery (Prayer Guild) and try a seed from the bushes again. You will now receive 4 White rose seeds, 4 Pink rose seeds, 4 Red rose seeds.

Note: If you chose to destroy your ring, you will need to go to the third floor of Fenkenstrain's castle and pickpocket the ring from Dr. Fenkenstrain. If you have completed the Great Brain Robbery quest, Dr. Fenkenstrain will no longer be at his castle in Canifis. You will have to go to Mos Le'Harmless and have the monk to teleport you to Harmony Island. Once there, go down into the dungeon and pickpocket the Ring of charos (a) from Dr. Fenkenstrain.

    Well

  14. If you threw your Ring of charos (a) down the well, go back to Edgeville and use a Fishing rod or Fly fishing rod on the well to get your ring back. You will need the ring to complete the quest. You will actually need a Fishing rod or Fly fishing rod, the ones in your Tool Belt will not work!

  15. Return to Varrock Castle garden and start planting the garden. You will need 2 buckets of Compost, the acquired seeds, and the White tree sapling. You will not have to use compost on any of the patches or water on the seeds. Plant the seeds in the relevant patches. To plant the Orchid seeds (Pink) and Orchid seeds (Yellow), use a bucket of Compost and then the seeds on each of the stone plant pots. Simply place the White tree sapling onto the White Tree patch to plant it. Once everything has been planted, talk to Queen Ellamaria again and ask her how you should get the statues there. She will give you a Trolley.

  16. Make your way to the center of Falador. Once there, use the Trolley with the statue of Saradomin and a cut scene will occur. Now, push the statue north towards the northern gate. After a few pushes you will find yourself at the back of Varrock Castle. Push your statue towards the garden and place it on the most southern stand.

Note: Do not push the statues too slow or the guards will capture the statue and you will have to start all over again. The easiest way to reach Falador is via the Falador teleport spell (requires 37 Magic).

    Falador Statue

  17. Go to Lumbridge and use the Trolley with the statue of a king to the south of the castle's entrance. Now, push the statue onto the bridge to the northeast and you will appear at the back of Varrock Castle. Push the Trolley into the garden and place the statue on the stand near the eastern wall.

Note: Do not push the statues too slow or the guards will capture the statue and you will have to start all over again. The easiest way to reach Lumbridge is via the Lumbridge home teleport.

    Lumbridge Statue

  18. When all the plants are fully grown, talk to Queen Ellamaria. She will ask you to go and get King Roald. Enter the castle and ask King Roald to follow you into the garden.

Note: Make sure you have the Ring of charos (a) equipped when talking to King Roald or he will not follow you into the garden.

    King Roald

  19. As the king enters the garden a cut scene will occur. Afterwards, Queen Ellamaria will give you your reward.
