Miscellaneous Information:
During the Buyers and Cellars quest, he will offer you join the Thieves Guild if you do him a favor. After completing the quest, his name changes into "Guildmaster Darren Lightfinger" and you may talk to him to start a Caper, yielding you a variety of rewards.
