K'ril uses both Melee and Magic attacks during the fight. When meleeing, he will simply swipe at you with his scimitars, hitting up to 1,100. When using magic, he will jump and slam his scimitars into the ground sending out a shockwave of orange flame. He also uses an extremely powerful special attack that is signified by him shouting "YARRR!" and slamming his scimitars into the ground, unleashing a cloud of black smoke. This attack is capable of hitting well over 5,000 on a single person and also drains Prayer and poisons, but the damage can be spread between anyone within close range of K'ril's target.

The chance of receiving better drops is increased by the Ring of wealth, Luck potion, Collector's insignia, Leprechaun hat or Luck of the dwarves.

Killing K'ril counts towards a Greater demon Slayer task.
