Instructions:
  1. Speak to Pirate Pete at the small dock north of Port Phasmatys. Ask him if he has any quests available and he will tell you a "sob story". Agree to help him, and he will mention a demon named Barrelor the Destroyer. Tell him that you are brave enough but tell him to keep the money he offers you. Pirate Pete will knock you unconscious with a bottle. A cut scene will occur of Pirate Pete talking to Captain Braindeath in a factory.

Note: The easiest way to reach Port Phasmatys is by using the Ectophial's teleport (requires completion of the Ghosts Ahoy quest) or by chartering a boat.

  2. You will wake up on Braindeath Island and Captain Braindeath will tell you about his rum factory, a group of zombie protesters outside, and his plan of trying to get the captain of the zombies drunk. Captain Braindeath will then give you a Blindweed seed and tell you to grow some Blindweed in the only patch still intact.

Note: If you forgot to bring a Rake, a Seed dibber, and a Watering can, then climb down the nearby ladder and search the cupboard to the southeast for the farming equipment. You can also utilise these equipment if you already have them on your toolbelt. Beware of Fever spiders (level 70) in the basement.

    Captain Braindeath

  3. Take the stairs to the south out of the factory and head to the most southeastern farming patch. Rake the Blindweed patch and plant the Blindweed seed. Once it has fully grown, pick the Blindweed and return to Captain Braindeath.

Note: Beware of Zombie pirates (level 72) and Zombie swabs (level 68) near the patch. If you use the intimidate option on one of the Zombie swabs (level 68), they will stop attacking you and instead of your intimidating insult you will see a short cut scene of a kitten playing with a ball of wool.

    Patch

  4. Captain Braindeath will ask you to place the Blindweed in the hopper upstairs. Climb up the ladder in the southeastern corner of the factory and put the Blindweed in the hopper to the northwest.

  5. Return to Captain Braindeath, who will give you a Bucket and ask you to fetch a Bucket of water. Leave the factory and head west to a small bridge. Try to open the gate, and you will distract 50% Luke, guarding the gate, to get past.

Note: If you are wearing the Ring of charos (a), then 50% Luke will tell you what really happened to him if you ask him about it.

    50% Luke

  6. Head up the volcano and use a bucket on the stagnant lake to obtain a Bucket of water. Take the bucket to Captain Braindeath, who will ask you to dump it into the hopper upstairs.

    Stagnant Lake

  7. Once you have emptied the Bucket of water into the hopper, speak to Captain Braindeath again. He will ask you to catch some Sluglings and give you a tangled Fishbowl and net. Head to the fishing spots in the southeastern part of the island and catch 5 Sluglings.

Note: If you accidentally untangle Fishbowl and net, simply use both pieces with each other to recreate it.

    Sluglings

  8. Put the Sluglings in the pressure barrel on the top floor of the factory and pull the nearby lever.

    Pressure Barrel

  9. Return to Captain Braindeath, who will inform you that the brewing controls are possessed by an evil spirit and he will give you a Wrench. The captain will tell you that you must get it blessed by a priest and then give the brewing controls a couple of belts with it. Head into the sleeping quarters to the west and talk to Davey to have it blessed.

Note: You must have at least 470 Prayer points or Davey will not bless the Wrench.

    Davey

  10. Bash the controls in the room to the west using the Holy wrench and an Evil Spirit (level 56) will appear.

  11. Once it has been defeated, talk to Captain Braindeath about gathering the final ingredient. He will ask for the body of a deceased fever spider. Make sure you're wearing Slayer gloves and head down into the basement. Kill a Fever spider and pick up the Fever spider body. Head to the top floor of the factory and put the body in the hopper.

Note: If you do not have the Slayer gloves equipped then you will take up to a 100 damage with their melee attack. This disease randomly lowers one of your stats.

    Fever Spider

  12. Report back to Captain Braindeath and he will start brewing the rum. When it is ready, he will give you a Bucket to hold the rum and tell you to take it to Captain Donnie. Turn the output tap in the southwestern corner of the factory to catch the rum in a Bucket.

  13. Head outside and give the Unsanitary swill to Captain Donnie, who will tell you his boss is called Rabid Jack.

    Captain Donnie

  14. Talk to Captain Braindeath to receive your reward.
