Entrance:

This is the entrance to the famous Warrior's Guild. It is guarded by the giant Ghommal or Laidee Gnonock the dwarf. This guild has the potential to be a dangerous place, and you will loose your items if you die. After you complete the While Guthix Sleeps quest, statues will appear in front of the guild honoring Ghommal and Sloane.

Entrance

Once inside, the owner Harrallak Menarous will be more than happy to tell you about any of the activities in the guild.

Challenges:

The purpose of the Warriors guild is to earn tokens that can be used on the top floor. You can earn tokens by playing and completing the following games and challenges. Your token count will be tallied on the left side of you game screen.

  1. Dummy Room:

    Dummy Room

The Dummy Room is on the ground floor in the center of the guild. At regular intervals, different Dummies will rise up through the holes, each dummy corresponding to a particular attack style. You must strike the dummies with the correct attack style to earn tokens. Each successful strike will earn 5 tokens and also grant you 15 Attack XP. If you want to be able to hit every single dummy, you will need more then one weapon. The best combination to use is a Battle axe and Scimitar of any type. The Scimitar can be used for stab and controlled attacks, while the Battle axe can be used for all other styles. The key below shows the different types of dummies and attack styles.

  2. Animation Room:

    Animation Room

The Animation Room is located on the ground floor in the center of the guild. You can learn more about this room if you speak to Shanomi. At the back of the hall are two animators. To animate armor, you must bring a full set of your chosen type. This includes a full helm, platebody, and platelegs. They have to be the normal armor types, as trimmed armor will not work. Use one of those items on the animator, and prepare to fight. The combat level and tokens received varies by armor type, as shown in the table below.

Armor Type Required Items Combat Level Tokens Received
    Bronze Bronze Set 11 10
    Iron Iron Set 25 20
    Steel Steel Set 39 30
    Black Black Set 46 40
    Mithril Mithril Set 53 50
    Adamant Adamant Set 67 60
    Rune Rune Set 81 80

Note: There is a small chance that you may loose parts of your armor. The higher type of armor that you use, the less the risk will be of it being destroyed.

  3. Catapult Room:

    Catapult Room

The Catapult Room is located on the west side of the second floor. You will first need to talk to Gamfred and receive a Defensive shield from him before you start the game. To play, you must stand in front of the catapult and equip the shield. Once you equip your shield on the platform, your inventory will change to the image below. As you are about to be hit by the catapult, change your defence style relative to the object coming at you. For each correct defensive maneuver, you will earn 4 tokens and 10 Defence XP.

  4. Shot Put Room:

    Shot Put Room

Upstairs to the east, past the large, heavy doors is the Shot Put Game. The point of the game is to throw the shot put as far as you can. If needed, you can bring a few Energy potions, as this game tends to use a lot of energy. You can earn tokens and Strength XP from this game, based on your performance. The number of tokens earned depends on how many yards the shot is thrown, and the weight of the ball that you throw. The lane to the north are 18lb shots, and the lane to the south are 22lb shots. While the south lane requires a greater strength level to throw, it will reward you with more tokens. The north lane will give the yards you have thrown plus 1 token per throw, and the south lane gives you the yardage plus 3 tokens per throw. For example, if you throw 9 yards in the north lane, you would receive 10 tokens. But, if you throw 9 yards in the south lane, you would receive 12 tokens. If you are having difficulty throwing the shot put, you can use a Pestle and mortar with some Ashes to get Ground ashes. These can then be used to dust your hands. This will improve your chances of a good throw.

  5. Jimmy's Challenge:

    Balance

Jimmy can be found upstairs to the far east. Upon speaking to Jimmy, he will offer you a challenge. You have to balance more kegs on your head than he can. There are a total of 5 barrels around the room. Each barrel that you successfully balance on your head will grant 1 token. However, if you manage to balance all 5 barrels on your head at the same time, you will be rewarded with a total of 10 tokens.

Note: Be careful as you will receive damage from any barrels that fall off your head.
Top Floor:

Top Floor

Once you have earned enough tokens, you can fight the Cyclopes on the top floor to try and earn yourself the Defender weapon! You need tokens to enter (see below) the cyclops arena, and you can not wear a shield. If you already have a defender, you MUST be wielding it before you are allowed into the room. For every minute spent in the cyclops fighting room, you will lose tokens (see below).

In order to enter the room, you will need either a minimum of 200 tokens in one game or 30 of each game to enter. While in the room if you are in single token mode (200 minimum) then you will lose 20 tokens per minute. If you are in multi-token mode you will lose 3 from each game (a total of 15) per minute.

Defenders:

Defenders

This is what the Warriors Guild is all about, the defenders. The Defenders are wielded in the shield spot, and all give attack bonuses. To obtain these defenders, you will need to kill the previously mentioned Cyclopes on the top floor. Before you try to get any defenders, be sure to talk to Kamfreena first. After she lets you in, start killing Cyclopes until you get a Bronze defender. Once you receive this as a drop, take it back to Kamfreena. She will be impressed by your skill, and unlock the ability to get the next grade defender, Iron. You then need to kill more Cyclopes until you get that Defender. Take it back to Kamfreena and repeat the process until you eventually receive a rune defender. Once you have received a rune defender then it is possible for a Cyclossus (level 156) to appear. Cyclossi drop the coveted dragon defender and cyclopean helmet. If you die with a defender, you will have to start from scratch to get another one, so it is always best to have multiple rune defender or dragon defenders in your bank. The table below shows all defenders available and the stats given.
