Getting Started:

To start, Speak with the Clerk inside the courthouse. He will give you some directions in what needs to be done. He is also the person who asks if you wish you want to be the Prosecutor or Defence. There is a File cabinet to his right. Open it up to receive Case report 1, Case report 2, and Case report 3. These will give you more insight about the case and the parties involved.

Clerk

Court summons:

Court summons are needed to be able to gain access to the court case. There is a few ways to get them. They can be from:

  • Monster drop
  • Pickpocketing
  • Fishing up caskets
  • Treasure Trails

When you read it, it will tell you about what case you are about to go up against. You will only start to receive these once you have completed the first case.

Note: You don't need a Court summon for the first case. You will be able to start the first case after talking to the Clerk.

Cases:

Before a case, there also might be some witnesses to question. They will be in or near the jail cells next to the Clerk. You can ask them questions about the case, and try to piece it together to form your case. After you have decided you have your case, and you picked what side to be on, head down the stairs and be ready to start presenting your case! The prosecution will always present before the defence. After you have presented your information, you will summarize it to the jury, and pick one person in the jury to focus your speech on a bit more.

All the cases are based off current or former random events.

Prosecution in court

Case 1 (Mugger (level 6) vs. Roger Murray):

This case is the first case you will present. You will need to do it before you actually start getting court summons. You will either have to prove the innocence of the Mugger, or lay the facts against him and his crimes against Roger Murray. Mugger

Present the facts against him, showing the jury how he is a thief and that there is heavy evidence against him, including a fingerprint on the weapon with the burises matching the weapon shape.

If Defence:
Show the jury that there may be his fingerprints on the weapon, but that doesn't prove he had hit the victim, as well as showing the jury how that, even though the victim just said he came into some money, there was none on him nor the defendant at the time of arrest.
