The mad necklace gives double experience in a skill of choice for a maximum of 250.000 experience. It stacks with other XP-boosting items and works the same way as the 
Hati paws and the 
Sköll boots. The necklace can be taking into a Dungeoneering floor to receive bonus xp while 
Dungeoneering and other skills. When the charges have been used up, it will become a purely cosmetic item. The mad necklace does not appear to be compatible with bonus xp received from clay (volatile at least) items.
