  5. Go talk to the Poison Salesman, who can be found in the Seers' Village Bar. Ask him about the sale that he made with the entire Sinclair family. You should show the Poison Salesman the Pungent Pot, and he'll know that the smell is his Multi Purpose Poison.

  6. Talk to each one of the children the Poison Salesman said he sold poison to and ask them what they did with the poison. These children are Bob, Frank, David, Elizabeth, Carol, and Anna.

  7. Investigate each of the areas that they said they cleaned. One of them will not have had the poison used on it. This is where the quest gets interesting, because you can get six different outcomes. Once you found out who's lying go back to the Guard. He will tell you he needs more evidence.

    • Anna - Compost heap
    • Bob - Beehive in garden
    • Frank - Family Crest, east of the front door
    • David - Spider nest (2nd floor)
    • Carol - Kitchen drain, west of the front door
    • Elizabeth - The fountain

  8. Go to the room just west of the kitchen where you should see two sacks. Search them to find Flypaper. You will need 7 sheets of Flypaper. Next, head over to the kitchen and use your pot with the barrel of flour.

  9. Head back to the crime scene pick up the Criminal's dagger (see image step 2). Use your pot of flour with the dagger to coat it with flour. Use a Flypaper with the dagger to obtain an Unknown print.

  10. Now you must search the barrels in each of the 6 children's rooms for their belongings. Use flour and flypaper on these to obtain their fingerprints.

    • Anna's room: Silver necklace
    • Bob's room: Silver cup
    • Carol's room: Silver bottle
    • David's room: Silver book
    • Elizabeth's room: Silver needle
    • Frank's room: Silver pot

  11. Start matching the prints with the Unknown print. When you have got a match go back to the Guard and inform him about it. Once more he will ask for more evidence.

  12. Talk to the guard and tell him you have evidence for who did the crime, he'll ask you about all the items and collect the evidence from you. He will say that the culprit will be in house arrest until the trial, and that he thanks you for your help.
