Travel to Burgh de Rott and peak with Vanescula Drakan, located at the southeastern docks. She will explain that she has something urgent to tell you and the Myreque. Afterwards, she will ask you to talk to Safalaan.
Note: The easiest way to reach Burgh de Rott is by using the teleport option on Drakan's medallion or a Games necklace.
-
Board the nearby boat and travel to the icynene graveyard. Once there, talk to Safalaan and tell him that Vanescula Drakan requires his presence. However, he will not return to Meiyerditch until he has opened the crytp of his parents and paid his respects.
-
To remove the vampyric seal barring the entrance to the crypt, you must solve a puzzle. Rotate the concentric rings of the puzzle until the markings join up. When a ring is placed correctly, its markings will change from red to blue. Once the entrance to the crypt has been opened, inspect the statue of Queen Efaritay to obtain Efaritay's pendant. Talk to Safalaan again and give him de pendant. He will thank you and depart to the Myreque hideout in Meiyerditch.
-
Travel to Meiyerditch and descend into the hideout. Now enter the room in the center of the hideout and a cutscene will occur. Talk to Safalaan, who can be found with Vanescula Drakan and Veliaf Hurtz at the northern end of the hideout. Veliaf will make the player his lieutenant, awarding them the title "of the Myreque". Vanescula will explain that her brother, Lord Drakan, has been angered by the groups successes over him and plans to return. She will then ask the group to kill Lord Drakan.
Note: The easiest way to reach the Myreque hideout in Meiyerditch is by using the teleport option on Drakan's medallion.
-
Now, prepare yourself to fight Lord Drakan later on and then travel to the blisterwood tree within the Arboretum in Darkmeyer, to find The Myreque there. Talk to Veliaf Hurtz and he will give you the ability to create dual-wield blisterwood weapons (sickles, off-hand sickles, stake-thrower crossbows, wands, and orbs). He will then tell you more about the group's plan and ask you to get vampyre disguises for the Myreque.
Note: The easiest way to reach the Arboretum is by using the teleport option on Drakan's medallion to teleport to Darkmeyer.
-
Leave the Arboretum and travel west to the city wall to find a group of vyrewatch that includes Overwatch Mornid and Vanescula Drakan. Talk to Mornid and ask her about vyrewatch uniforms. She will tell you that some uniforms are stored in Vanstrom Klause's former house.
-
Enter the large house south-east to the southeast and search the Vyrewatch crate to obtain a Vyre uniform. Return to Veliaf Hurtz and talk to him. He will take the uniforms and give you a set of House Drakan clothes. Veliaf will then ask you to inform Vanescula Drakan that the Myreque are ready. Before proceeding to the next step, you must equip House Drakan hood, House Drakan top, House Drakan trousers, and House Drakan boots.
-
With the House Drakan outfit equipped and your weapons in your inventory, return to Vanescula Drakan. Talk to her and enter the gate to Castle Drakan. Vanescula and Mornid will fly you andVeliaf Hurtz to the top of the castle.
Note: Only the Darkmeyer outfit, House Drakan outfit, Blisterwood weapons, Drakan's medallion, Ivandis flail and runes are allowed into the castle. Everything else must be banked during this stage of the quest.
-
Once on the top floor of the castle, Vanescula Drakan will instruct you to mingle with true-born nobles to increase your
status with them Complete the following to gain status.
- Talk to Lady Nadezhda Shadum about one of the werewolves in her pack. Suggest that she humiliates the wolf (20 status).
- Talk to Lord Alexei Jovkai about hors d'oeuvre, suggest that he tries the Defiant old man (20 status).
- Talk to Lord Mischa Myrmel about his personal tithe. Suggest that he shows the blood tithe mercy (20 status).
- Shoo a bat (15 status).
Note: If at any point during the remainder of the quest, you happen to log out while inside the castle, you will reappear in Arboretum. To regain access to the castle, simply open the castle gate and choose to continue the quest. You will have to redo the step you were on.
-
Once you have gained enough status, talk to Vanescula Drakan again. The central trapdoor will open to reveal a portal. Lowerneil Drakan will appear and inform everyone that he will lead the vampyres back to the promised land of Vampyrium. Lord Drakan will then request to speak with you. Pick any of the options to gain status with the him. Drakan will then state that he knows that you ar a human. Choose whether to spring the trap or call the retreat. Regardless of the choice made, a cutscene will occur in which Drakan will learn of Safalaan's heritage and claim that the person who killed his father is amongst the group. However, as soon as Safalaan activates his icyenic powers, you and the rest of the Myreqyes will be caught and put into prison.
-
Leave the cell and open the other 5 cell doors within the area to free the Myreque members. Each door will damage you for 10% of your maximum life points.
-
After freeing the Myreque members from all 6 cells, the portcullis leading to the next room will open. In this room you will have to free Vanescula and Mornid by removing the vampyric seal that keeps them imprisoned in the bloodletter. The seal can be removed by solving a puzzle, similar to the one at the icynene graveyard. However, in this puzzle rotating a ring causes the smaller, adjacent ring to rotate as well. Rotating the centre ring causes the outer ring to rotate as well. The quickest way to solve the puzzle is by working from the inner ring to the outer ring.
Note: You can reset the puzzle by talking to Polmafi Ferdygris.
-
After freeing the vampyres, the next portcullis will open. Enter the next room and talk to Safalaan. He will inform you about a mysterious prisoner, who has been trapped beneath the dungeon floor by Lord Drakan. Go up the nearby stairs and leave the prison through the dungeon exit.
-
Veliaf Hurtz will inform you that he has sent most of the Myreque members back to the hideout. He will then ask you to explore the area a bit further. Go into the room on the eastern side of the corridor and take mysterious jerky from the butchery table. You can take up to 20 Mysterious jerky, which are stackable and heal 2000 Life points. Ivan Strom will then give you a book, titled A Taste of Hope. Enter the room to the west of the corridor and talk to Vanescula Drakan and Mornid.
-
Enter the room south of the corridor. Here, you will need to match up each Myreque member to the blood lock corresponding with their emotional state. The book, titled A Taste of Hope, that you received earlier, will give you hints on who to match to which lock. Investigate a blood lock to assign a Myreque member to it. The correct matches are the following. Once you have solved the puzzle, unlock the tithing door and escape through the cellar exit.
- Ghrazi - Veliaf
- Alzeph - Radigad
- Pyrah - Kael
- Myrmel - Mekritus
- Vitur - Polmafi
- Shadum - Vertida
- Jovkai - Safalaan
- Drakan - Ivan
-
Polmafi Ferdygris will attempt to teleport out of the area, but realise that the Myreque's teleports are not working. Veliaf Hurtz will then ask you to lead the group out through the main gate.
Enter the tunnel to the east and a cutscene will occur in which Lowerniel Drakan will appear, along with three venators. Drakan kills Mornid and Kael is killed by a venator. The Myreque retreat back into the castle.
-
Veliaf Hurtz will then command you to find something to barricade the door. Vandalize the statue of Lord Drakan to obtain a Statue spear and then use it to brace the door. Despite your effort, a venator (level 126) will break in through a nearby window. Defeat it and it will jump back out.
Note: If at any point you are running low on food, you can receive 4 Mysterious jerky by using the Food right-click option on Ivan Strom/.
-
Climb the stairs and Veliaf Hurtz will now instruct you to barricade the windows. Smash the furniture in the room to obtain various amounts of Furniture debris. For each window you will need 3 pieces of debris. When all 3 windows have been barricaded, unlock the blood lock and enter the next room. The second room contains 2 windows which you will need to barricade in less time than before.
In all rooms where you have to barricade windows, a status bar on the top of your screen will show the percentage of time that you have left to finish barricading the windows. If the status bar depletes with a window remaining uncovered then a Venator (level 126) will break through. You will have to defeat it and finish barricading the windows before proceeding. Before proceeding into the next room, it is always advised to smash all remaining furniture to obtain more Furniture debris. This will speed up the process of barricading the windows in the next room and thereby lowering the risk of having to fight a Venator (level 126).
-
Unlock the second blood lock and enter the third room. You will now need to help Myreque with lifting the table to barricade the large window. However, a Venator (level 126) will break through the window into the room, throwing Mekritus A'hara out the broken window. Fight the Venator until it flees and then help the Myreque to finish lifting the table into place.
-
Open the third blood lock and enter the next room. Frist, you will need to barricade 2 more windows in even less time than before. After that, a puzzle must be solved to remove the magical barrier blocking the stairs. The puzzle is similar to the one at the icynene graveyard but more complex. It can be completed by rotating the rings as shown below. Once the barrier has been disabled, climb the stairs.
- Rotate ring A clockwise once.
- Rotate ring B clockwise twice.
- Rotate ring C clockwise twice.
- Rotate ring D clockwise three times.
- Rotate ring E clockwise once.
Note: You can reset the puzzle by talking to Polmafi Ferdygris.
-
Climb the stairs to the western and eastern sides of the room and open the blood valves in each room. When you enter the eastern room, a cut scene will occur in which Safalaan entrusts Vanescula Drakan with Efaritay's pendant. In the room up the western stairs, a Venator (level 126) will appear after opening the valve and wound Ivan Strom. Help Veliaf Hurtz to fight the Venator until it flees back through the window. Then, check on Ivan Strom. Once both valves have been turned, climb down the stairs and then walk north past the ring puzzle to northernmost room. Go through the door and open the final blood valve. Drakan will appear and kill Radigad Ponfit.
-
Climb back down the stairs and solve the last ring puzzle. This last one can be completed by rotating the rings as shown below. Once the puzzle has been solved, climb the staircase surrounding the room.
- Rotate ring A anticlockwise once.
- Rotate ring B clockwise three times.
- Rotate ring C clockwise once.
- Rotate ring D anticlockwise three times.
- Rotate ring E anticlockwise three times.
Note: You can reset the puzzle by talking to Polmafi Ferdygris.
-
The Myreque and you will appear on the roof of the castle. However, Vanescula Drakan will realise they are on roof of the Vampyrium plane's version of the castle, and that the pylons are used to power the portal from Vampyrium to Gielinor. Before they start recalibrating the pylons, Ivan Strom will give you 10 Mysterious jerky and ask you to fend of any enemies.
-
Following a cut scene in which Lord Drakan explains his plans, the battle against Lord Drakan will begin. The fight has a total of 5 phases. After each fase, your Life points, Prayer points and your supply of Mysterious jerky will be replenished
If you die during a phase, you will reappear in the Arboretum. To continue the batle, simply open the gate of Castle Draken and choose to continue the quest. Once a phase has been successfully completed, you will not have to redo that phase or the previous once, even if you die. The effects of potions and spas carry over from outside of the castle. It is therefore recommended, to jump into the Sulphure spring to boost your Prayer points maxium by 10%. Everytime he flies over you, he will deal damage to you, equal to 20% of your maximum Life points. -
Darkness: If you trigger his stun attack 4 times, he will replace his second type of attack with this one. He will yell "Run all you want...". After that, he will darken the arena and teleport you to him, dealing damage equal to 50% of your maximum Life points to you.
- Area Bombs: When he yells "Ha ha ha!" he is going to summon bombs. Run at least 3 spaces away from the bombs to avoid taking damage. If you don't, you will receive damage equal to 25% of your maximum Life points when a bomb explodes.
-

-
Phase 4: Lord Drakan (50,000 HP)
After you have defeated Drakan again, Polmafi Ferdygris will succeed in openig the portal. Jump into portal along with the est of the Myreque. They will then beleive they have finally escaped Drakan. Drakan then bursts rom the portal throwing Polmafi back into it. You will need to fight him again. Drakan will now use all his special attacks from the previous phases and move more quickly. In addition he will also use his healing ability again.
-
Phase 5: Lord Drakan (20,000 HP)
Once you have defeated Drakan again, Vanescula Drakan will appear and stab him with the Sunpear. During this last phase, you will have to fight a very weakend Drakan one last time. He will attack rapidly with melee and use a special attack where he rapidly stabs you, dealing large amounts of damage. The damage of this special attack can be avoided by stepping away from him. Drakan will also summon area bombs more frequently, though only one at a time. It is therefore recommended that you keep moving and either use a hit and run tactic or use magic/ranged.
-
When you have defeated him for last and final time,
Use the "finish" option on him to stab him the remains of the Sunspear. After a short conversation, in which he states that he regrets nothing and that Vanescula will betray you, the remaining members of the Myreque and Vanescula will be revived. Now talk to Veliaf Hurtz. Vanescula will then declare that she is now the leader of the Vampyres. She will then appear to kill Safalaan, witha plan to use his icyene blood to be able to pass the river Salve.
