33 Quest Points.
-
Talk to Sir Tiffy Cashien in Falador Park. He will tell you about a loophole in becoming a White Knight and to go talk to Sir Amik Varze.
-
Head to the 3rd floor of the western tower of the White Knight's Castle and speak with Sir Amik Varze. He will ask you to become his squire. Choose the option "No, not right now" to decline his offer. (If you accept Sir Amik's offer to become a squire, he will ask you to get him an Asgarnian ale. At this point, you will have to go speak with Sir Tiffy again to continue on with the quest.) You will tell him about a stranger who informed you about a faster way to become a White Knight. Talk to him again and ask if you can become his deputy. Sir Amik will agree that you are suited for the job, but that he can only recruit you as his deputy if there is a crisis.
-
Go back to Sir Tiffy Cashien and he will inform you of a crisis, concerning a dangerous criminal, that is arising. He will tell you to speak to Sir Amik Varze again for your orders.
-
Once back at the castle, Sir Amik Varze will greet you and inform you that the
"Evil Solus Dellagar", the powerful murder-mage, has returned. When you accept his request to assist him he will fully deputize you into the White Knight Order.
-
Return to Sir Tiffy Cashien and he will tell you that under no circumstances are you to get in direct combat with Solus Dellagar. Instead he will ask you to scout for him. He will give you the option of making or buying a Commorb. Buying the orb costs 10k coins. Making the orb requires you to give him an Enchanted gem, a Law rune, and a piece of Molten glass; he will make the Commorb for you.
-
Contact Savant, a Temple Knight agent, using the communication orb. She will bring you up to speed on your assignment and tell you about two recordings: one of
Lord Daquarius of the Black knights, and one of the Mage Of Zamorak in Varrock.
-
Go to Taverley and descend into the Taverley Dungeon. Make your way through the dungeon toward the Black knights' area to the south. Once there, enter the room to the west and talk to Lord Daquarius. He will refuse to tell you anything, but you are told by Savant that he is concerned for the safety of his men. Kill a Black knight (level 33) and he will tell you that Solus is in a place with a lot of fur that is not bear fur.
Note: If you have a combat level of 40 or below, take an Antipoison with you and watch out for Poison Scorpions along the way.
-
Talk to the Mage Of Zamorak at the temple in the southeastern part of Varrock. He will ask you for 20 unnoted Rune/Pure essence in exchange for the information he has (using the essence from a wicked hood is acceptable). He will then tell you that Solus moved east from him. Using both clues you will smartly figure out that Solus is hiding in Canifis.
Note: If you have not started the Mage of Zamorak mini-quest, you must first speak with him in the wilderness at the end of the river, north of Edgeville before speaking to him in Varrock. Make sure you are not wearing any items affiliated with Guthix or Saradomin or he will not talk to you.
-
Head over to Canifis. As you enter the city, Savant will stop you and give you a lecture on "Slow Teleporting". She will then tell you to scan in Canifis. If you accidentally click and skip the conversation started by Savant, leave Canifis and return. Speak to Savant again. Scan Canifis and a cut scene will occur involving Solus.
Note: The fastest way to reach Canifis is by using the Canifis Loadstone, or use your Ectophial and walk west
-
Savant will retrieve an item from the slow teleport. The item is completely random but it will give you a hint as to what location you will need to scan next. You will have to scan 5 locations (from the list below) before you will discover his final location. Make sure you have at least one free inventory space for the item. After scanning a location, Solus will appear and might cast a harmless spell on you or teleport you to a random location. After having discovered the 3rd location, Solus will hit you with the very powerful Flames of Zamorak for most of your Life points. Fortunately, Savant will keep you from dying. You will then be teleported to the castle in Falador and have plenty of opportunity to bank for food. At the last place you scan, Solus will send a Black knight (level 33) after you.

-
After scanning the last location, you will find that the final location is in the rune essence mine. Head there via one of the Rune Essence Teleport Wizards (Sedridor,
Aubury, Cromperty, Distentor, or Brimstail).
As you enter the mine, you will see a small cut scene. Solus is killing an army of White knights by dealing 700 damage to each one of them with an Ice Barrage spell. Savant will tell you Solus has been weakened greatly and that you are the only one to finish him off. He is about as strong as a Black Knight.
-
After he is dead, take Solus's hat back to Sir Amik Varze to claim your reward.
Congratulations! Quest complete!
White Knight Armoury:
After finishing the quest, you will have a White Knight rank of Novice. To raise your rank, you must kill Black Knights and the best places to do this are in the Black Knights' Fortress and Taverley Dungeon. Whenever you gain a new rank, you will receive a message. You can also check on your rank by checking your quest journal. Each Black Knight killed counts as +1 and each Elite Black Knight counts as +10. However, if you kill a White Knight your count will be lowered by -1. It is possible to lower your rank this way.
Your rank determines what armor and weapons you can buy. The higher your rank, the better the items you can purchase. Below the rank table are the items you can buy at each rank. You gain access the store when your rank is a Peon. To buy White Knight armor, talk to Sir Vyvin, located on the 3rd floor of the White Knight's Castle on the east side.
