A Tribute and Farewell
Celebrating 23 years of RuneHQ history
and the community that made it special.
More than a website: a home for adventurers, a library of shared knowledge, and friendships that reached far beyond the game.
A Tribute To
The hearts behind RuneHQ
Deb and Gene helped shape RuneHQ into a place where adventurers could learn, share, and belong. We honor their vision, dedication, kindness, and generosity, and the community built around those values.
“More than a website, RuneHQ was a home—and at its heart were two extraordinary people.”
Without Deb and Gene here to help us carry RuneHQ forward, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the RuneHQ website at the end of 2026.
A Remarkable Journey, A Lasting Legacy
From humble beginnings to a trusted home for guides and friendships, these milestones remember the chapters that shaped RuneHQ.
RuneHQ begins as a small idea built to help fellow adventurers.
Players gather around shared knowledge, questions, and friendship.
Guides, tools, and resources support countless journeys.
On 9 April, Jagex names RuneHQ one of the Platinum-level sites in its relaunched Fansite Support Programme.
What began as a website grows into a community that cares.
The community adapts, supports one another, and stays connected.
More than two decades of memories, friendships, and shared adventures.
After 23 years, RuneHQ reaches its final chapter as the website prepares to close.

A Farewell to Our Community
To our visitors, members, guide writers, donors, moderators, staff, and friends: thank you for every question answered, every guide improved, every discussion shared, and every friendship formed.
RuneHQ was more than a website. It was a community, and that was always because of you.
Although the site is closing, the RuneHQ Discord and clan will continue, giving the community a place to stay connected and carry on the friendships built here.
It's not goodbye, just a new chapter.
The Community Continues
While this website chapter is closing, the RuneHQ community continues on.
