Without Deb and Gene here to help us carry RuneHQ forward, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the RuneHQ website at the end of 2026.

RuneScape has been a part of my life since near the very beginning. I started playing in 2004 with my next door neighbor, we were only 8 years old. I remember spending hours in his basement taking turns playing on the old pc. Runehq was the go to for quest guides and more back then. I am grateful for the help it provided. Much love!

Thank you for the amazing memories over the years. As with many of us, I just couldn’t put into words the meaning of what RuneHQ meant or the impact it had on the community. A very valuable resource for anyone to have for free. One of the most selfless acts of love, pouring your limited time to provide a service to us. Thank you Deb & Gene so much for everything you’ve done for the community. And I’d like to thank all of my old RuneScape friends of whom I haven’t talked to in the many years. I haven’t forgotten a lot of them.

What can I say?

Years ago when I started making YouTube videos, I used RuneHQ to help me with the information I needed to make sure that not only was I following the lore of the game but also to make sure everything was correct.

I might only come and play now and again and am living my best life, but RuneHQ will always be in my heart!

RuneHQ was my go to in for all my quest help for the first 8 years or so of playing (then) Runescape. Thank you to everyone that put their effort in over the years, you really helped a lot of people along in their adventure we all grew up with and love then and now. RuneHQ will forever be an icon in the Runescape scene, soon to be gone but never forgotten <3

To our visitors, members, guide writers, donors, moderators, staff, and friends: thank you for every question answered, every guide improved, every discussion shared, and every friendship formed.

RuneHQ was more than a website. It was a community, and that was always because of you.

Although the site is closing, the RuneHQ Discord and clan will continue, giving the community a place to stay connected and carry on the friendships built here.

It's not goodbye, just a new chapter.
