A Tribute and Farewell

In Loving Memory

Celebrating 23 years of RuneHQ history
and the community that made it special.

More than a website: a home for adventurers, a library of shared knowledge, and friendships that reached far beyond the game.

A Tribute To

Deb & Gene

The hearts behind RuneHQ

Deb and Gene helped shape RuneHQ into a place where adventurers could learn, share, and belong. We honor their vision, dedication, kindness, and generosity, and the community built around those values.

Deb & Gene

“More than a website, RuneHQ was a home—and at its heart were two extraordinary people.”

Without Deb and Gene here to help us carry RuneHQ forward, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the RuneHQ website at the end of 2026.

Thankyou for everything! Whenever I found myself stuck on something, RuneHQ was my go-to place to find the answers since I was a kid. Managed to get QP cape and many more, even passed on the knowlegde or source to my surroundings!

English is not my native language, but RuneHQ sure made it easier when I was 11!

I don't know what comes after the end, but I am sure that Deb and Gene are smiling proudly at the community they formed!

Goodnight RuneHQ'ers

Chantal K (Neomy)

Thanks for everything and helping me through the stronghold of security when I was 10. RIP

Best quest guides and the wiki before the wiki, so sad to see this go. Making us feel old. This is what the RuneScape community is about.

Pre EOC, I used this website a lot for Runescape 2 during my early years in the game. Was very helpful for clues and quests.

This website is the only reason I ever learned to actually play this game. RuneHQ guides were unmatched for years. The game wouldn't be the same without RuneHQ.

Thank you Deb and Gene, for providing me with a resource that I used so much as a kid. Your contribution won't be forgotten.
