Without Deb and Gene here to help us carry RuneHQ forward, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the RuneHQ website at the end of 2026.

I had to come in and say my farewells to this website when I saw the news. I still actively play the game today, though admittedly I had moved on from runeHQ as my go to guide site a long time ago and it brings to mind the phrase, "You never know how much you miss something until it's gone."

RuneHQ was there for me when I needed it most, and it let me go when I was ready. Thank you for everything you helped me through in the past.

Sites like these made my childhood playing RuneScape much better, i would have never gotten much done without it. I have so many fond memories from back in the day and this closing has reopened a lot of memories. Thank you all for everything you have done, you will be greatly missed! End of an era

Used to use the site almost daily when I played, I wouldn't have finished Dragon Slayer without it. I have fond memories of getting on the Ventrilo server, hanging out and making friends with people I'd have never met if it wasn't for this website and the wonderful community that surrounded it. Been a good while since I've set foot on RuneHQ. I remember using the site so frequently when I was younger and playing RS2. Such a sad time to see it go. You've done some amazing work guys and you should be proud of it! Helped so many people with knowledge and guides! Farewell <3

To our visitors, members, guide writers, donors, moderators, staff, and friends: thank you for every question answered, every guide improved, every discussion shared, and every friendship formed.

RuneHQ was more than a website. It was a community, and that was always because of you.

Although the site is closing, the RuneHQ Discord and clan will continue, giving the community a place to stay connected and carry on the friendships built here.

It's not goodbye, just a new chapter.
