A Tribute and Farewell

In Loving Memory

Celebrating 23 years of RuneHQ history
and the community that made it special.

More than a website: a home for adventurers, a library of shared knowledge, and friendships that reached far beyond the game.

A Tribute To

Deb & Gene

The hearts behind RuneHQ

Deb and Gene helped shape RuneHQ into a place where adventurers could learn, share, and belong. We honor their vision, dedication, kindness, and generosity, and the community built around those values.

Deb & Gene

“More than a website, RuneHQ was a home—and at its heart were two extraordinary people.”

Without Deb and Gene here to help us carry RuneHQ forward, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the RuneHQ website at the end of 2026.

Thank you for helping us newbs back in the day get through tough quests! We couldn't have done it without you.

Shriwp

Thanks for everything. Your guides taught me how to play Runescape, and Runescape introduced me to some of my oldest friends.

Lord Farquad

Had to come back to say thanks. Before all these guides, and LLMs it was you. So thanks:)

Jason

Man this one hurts. A piece of my childhood is going away. Thanks for all the help, wouldn’t be here today still playing without RuneHQ

Cole Crews

Helped me get past many quests in my early RuneScape Days

I remembered as a kid visiting this website and being fascinated with the tools. Till this day with the amount of tools we have available and Ai, I much rather go the old fashioned way and read a guide and go through everything myself. I loved every bit of it and what it provided for the community. Thank you. May god bless your souls

Syntaxx

Thank you for 20+ years from helping a clueless kid to now a clueless adult.

Suuko

Thank you for being a big part of my past <3

A Farewell to Our Community

Thank You

To our visitors, members, guide writers, donors, moderators, staff, and friends: thank you for every question answered, every guide improved, every discussion shared, and every friendship formed.

Although the site is closing, the RuneHQ Discord and clan will continue, giving the community a place to stay connected and carry on the friendships built here.

It's not goodbye, just a new chapter.
