In Loving Memory

Thank you for all your efforts, everyone involved. RuneHQ will be offline, but it will forever be immortalized through the community. Remind your family/friends you love them.

Ever since I started playing this game in 2005 RuneHQ was always there for me to help me through all the quests and methods to skill....thank you so much.

Fly high Deb & Gene 🕊️

Never forgotten.

I remember using this to solve the regicide quest, the one with tar barrels. Felt so good to unlock elf lands. I still remember the screenshot of completing the quest. ripperoni...

Thank you so much Deb & Gene, to have been apart of something so special is my honor. Thank you for the time, money, love and care you both put in. Truly a titan, thank you.

I remember the very first day I logged onto RuneScape. It felt like I’d stepped into another world as a kid. I also remember the first day I stumbled upon RuneHQ and how much it helped and changed the game for me. RIP to 2 absolute legends and pioneeers of the RuneScape culture.

Used to be a very big part in my Runescape journey, this as well as Tip.It and Runezone were all very frequent places for me to end up early on. I appreciate all this site and those who've worked on it have done to help the community be a little bit closer.

End of an era. What a wonderful piece of RuneScape history. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Back when I was in elementary school (I am now in my 30s and married), I saw the world of Gielinor as amazing, with wonder around every turn. I never knew what amazing thing would happen next. I wasn't able to complete many of the quests by myself, and I always turned to RuneHQ. This website helped me continue to adventure through High School, and I'm not sure I would have kept at it without the aid of this site. I have so many memories of reading through a RuneHQ guide before trying to figure out how to complete a quest.

When The Golem quest first came out, I logged on with excitement in my heart, and the first thing I did was open up RuneHQ. It was always exciting when the guide wasn't ready yet as I felt like I had a chance to beat the quest early.

I did not know Deb and Gene, but they made a huge impact on a small child just looking to adventure with their friends. May their memory be a blessing.

For years, whenever a new quest dropped or a puzzle felt impossible, RuneHQ was the absolute first place I went. The detailed guides and step-by-step breakdowns didn't just save me countless hours—they made tackling the game’s toughest content genuinely fun.

Beyond helping my own journey, RuneHQ was the site I recommended to every single friend who played. Whenever someone got stuck, sharing RuneHQ link after link became second nature because I always knew it was the best help available.

I also want to take a moment to honor the memory of Deb and Gene. Their contributions, warmth, and dedication played such a foundational role in building and guiding this community, and their absence is deeply felt. Rest in peace—they will never be forgotten.

Thank you to every guide writer, staff member, and player who put time and heart into making RuneHQ what it was. You made a massive impact on my RuneScape journey and the journeys of so many others. Wishing everyone in the community all the best!

Thank you for all the help throughout the years!!!
