In Loving Memory

Thank you guys for everything. I've been playing RuneScape since 2005 and this site was my go to for anything quest or guide related. This truly is a sad farewell but the memories this site gave me in my young age will live on forever. Thank you Deb and Gene as well as the staff for all your hard work.

We love you RuneHQ <3

Found this when I was a kid and couldn't figure out how to do the Vampyre Slayer quest, used the site for so long afterwards. RIP, this was a childhood core for myself and many others

Very sad to hear those news. RuneHQ's impact on my life is still felt, now over 8 years since my departure. The close-knit community, unforgettable TeamSpeak and Skype calls, the memes, oh God the memes! Lovely people, lovely memories. Thank you for being the first community in RuneScape where I truly felt that I belonged. I was honoured to be trusted enough to be a staff member for those few years, around 2014. Time sure flies. Thank you for everything.

I wouldn't still be playing OSRS today if it wasn't for all the help I received as a kid on RuneHQ developing a love and passion for Runescape. Thank you for everything!

Ive played RS on and off from when I was 12 years old and this was always the website I came back to get help along the way the guides and everything always helped me so much very sad to see this go :(

I first started playing RS in 2004, when I was about 7 years old. For the first few years I truly had no idea what I was doing besides running around Varrock with a staff and killing people as a low level.

My first few quests I was finally able to complete were because of RuneHQ and here I am 20+ years later still playing and a lot of it is because of people like you all who ran these websites.

Before I became staff, I used this site for years to complete quests and calculate stuff for potions. It was a major part of my life. Later, I had the opportunity to become part of the community. This site has been an amazing part of my life. May RHQ rest in peace

I remember using this amazing website for all my quests back in the days. RuneHQ was the Quest helper. I will keep the memories and nostalgia of this amazing website. RIP RuneHQ

RuneHQ was one of the first sites I used for guides and general info back in 2008, over the years I started using the Wiki more often, but I will always look back to the fond memories of RuneHQ, you shall be missed!

I’ve been an off and on OSRS player for years and in all honesty I forgot about this site until I saw that it was closing and I got major nostalgia. From playing mostly during the mid to late 2000’s sites like this were how I completed quests and gained more knowledge about the game. It’s sad to see a resource from my youth disappear but I would like to express my thanks to those that helped shape my early RS days.

I have been considering picking up the game again and now I think I will do that I can enjoy community sites like this before they’re all gone for good.
