A Tribute and Farewell

In Loving Memory

Celebrating 23 years of RuneHQ history
and the community that made it special.

More than a website: a home for adventurers, a library of shared knowledge, and friendships that reached far beyond the game.

A Tribute To

Deb & Gene

The hearts behind RuneHQ

Deb and Gene helped shape RuneHQ into a place where adventurers could learn, share, and belong. We honor their vision, dedication, kindness, and generosity, and the community built around those values.

“More than a website, RuneHQ was a home—and at its heart were two extraordinary people.”

Without Deb and Gene here to help us carry RuneHQ forward, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the RuneHQ website at the end of 2026.

Thank you for 23 years of service. I vividly remember using your site as a kid to get through all of the quests my brother and I were doing. We used your site constantly and without it, our Runescape journeys would have been much harder.

You helped people like us grow into the adventurers we are today, and for that, I can never thank you enough. ♥

Sites like these made my childhood playing RuneScape much better, i would have never gotten much done without it. I have so many fond memories from back in the day and this closing has reopened a lot of memories. Thank you all for everything you have done, you will be greatly missed! End of an era

This site connected me with pwnhq, one of the sites ran by runehq owners for other games such as swbf2 / cod4 and more way back in 2007. Will always remember the times we split between those games and runescape together.

Used RuneHQ for 90% of my childhood, I used the quest walk through's to do RFD like 20 times. It's a sad day, RIP to a big part of my childhood.

The same friend that introduced me to RuneScape pointed me to RuneHQ for quest and skill help. I wasn't old enough to work a job and afford membership for the first 3 years of play, but once I'd knocked out all the f2p quests and didn't have anything else I could do other than grind, I remember how I would often look at the skill guides for members' skills (or members' method for f2p skills) and just imagine what it would be like to do all that fun-looking stuff.

This era will never be forgotten. RuneScape has changed the landscape and forged friendship for decades. RuneHQ was more then a help site. It was a community of passionate players who love the game. We shared many experiences and memories together. RuneHQ will live forever. It was a cultural movement

This website is the only reason I ever learned to actually play this game. RuneHQ guides were unmatched for years. The game wouldn't be the same without RuneHQ.

I remember using this amazing website for all my quests back in the days. RuneHQ was the Quest helper. I will keep the memories and nostalgia of this amazing website. RIP RuneHQ

Wow fellas, I remember using your site all the time during the RS2 era. It was truly a social hub in this rad little medieval world. I remember using RuneHQ and Sal's Realm of Runescape for all of my RS2 needs and questions. Thank you for being there, a moment can live on forever. <3
