A Tribute and Farewell

In Loving Memory

Celebrating 23 years of RuneHQ history
and the community that made it special.

More than a website: a home for adventurers, a library of shared knowledge, and friendships that reached far beyond the game.

A Tribute To

Deb & Gene

The hearts behind RuneHQ

Deb and Gene helped shape RuneHQ into a place where adventurers could learn, share, and belong. We honor their vision, dedication, kindness, and generosity, and the community built around those values.

Deb & Gene

“More than a website, RuneHQ was a home—and at its heart were two extraordinary people.”

Without Deb and Gene here to help us carry RuneHQ forward, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the RuneHQ website at the end of 2026.

Used this page to help complete quests when I got stuck back in 05-08. I rember having to print the pages because my dial up internet couldn’t handle anything else except RuneScape. Thank you for the memories. God bless.

I'll never forget all the times that I completed a quest with the help of RuneHQ back in 2007. Having a separate window with RuneHQ up was mandatory back in the day! Don't think I could have ever got as far in the game without you! Thank you for the guides and the help getting the Quest Points!

RuneHQ was a mandatory part of learning the game back in the day as a kid. I’ll always remember looking back and forth between the quest guide and my character as a 10-year old. Tedious, but necessary. Thank you for helping to create some of the best gaming memories on Runescape!

I started playing the game around when it came out. Without runeHQ I wouldn't have fallen in love with the community or the game.

I wish the website could continue, but RuneHQ has had a good run.

Rest in Peace Deb, and Gene. Thank you for all of the good times, and investing in our community for so many years.

Sad to see this go since 2004 was it for me. Finishing school, getting on RuneHQ and RuneScape. Life felt great. I’m happy this went a long way. Thank you for all the core memories, nothing can ever replace RUNE HQ!

I still remember walking through the gates of Taverley for the first time after getting membership. Without RuneHQ, I would've been so lost. Thank you!

I was nine when I found out about RuneHQ. From that day on when I played Runescape I always had a second tab open to RuneHQ.

I remember all the guides I needed to use over the years, all real helpful to a lost adventurer in Gielinor. Like when I finally completed a mourning's end part 2, it was all thanks to RuneHQ; I would've never been able to finish it myself, lol. OH! and just searching around all over the site for info about RuneScape made me the most popular kid in 4th grade from my knowledge of RuneScape. I never expected seeing RuneHQ shut down making me choke up, with tears; like seeing an old friend finally laid to rest. Thanks for all the guides and best wishes to all of your futures!
