A Tribute and Farewell

In Loving Memory

Celebrating 23 years of RuneHQ history
and the community that made it special.

More than a website: a home for adventurers, a library of shared knowledge, and friendships that reached far beyond the game.

A Tribute To

Deb & Gene

The hearts behind RuneHQ

Deb and Gene helped shape RuneHQ into a place where adventurers could learn, share, and belong. We honor their vision, dedication, kindness, and generosity, and the community built around those values.

“More than a website, RuneHQ was a home—and at its heart were two extraordinary people.”

Without Deb and Gene here to help us carry RuneHQ forward, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the RuneHQ website at the end of 2026.

It's been a while since I came here for help the last time, but I have fond memories of the site, back before 2010. Sad to see it go, but glad it's been here in the first place.

I know how it feels to let go a site in which you poured a lot of love, and as such... thank you to everyone that helped keep RuneHQ alive until now.

Rune HQ was without a doubt my #1 resource for many years and helped get me to where I am today in RuneScape. Shoutout to the legends that helped to create this wonderful place. Thank you again for everything :)

When I first started playing RuneScape as a child RuneHq helped me so much. And even now to this day when I get back from the inevitable break all RuneScape players take, this has and was my go to guide site. You will be missed tremendously. Thank you for all the help and guidance provided throughout the years!

Used RuneHQ for 90% of my childhood, I used the quest walk through's to do RFD like 20 times. It's a sad day, RIP to a big part of my childhood.

Wow fellas, I remember using your site all the time during the RS2 era. It was truly a social hub in this rad little medieval world. I remember using RuneHQ and Sal's Realm of Runescape for all of my RS2 needs and questions. Thank you for being there, a moment can live on forever. <3

Thank you to RuneHQ! Without your help I could've never done Dragon Slayer on my own

I used to play Runescape often when I was younger. Some of my fondest memories growing up - both fortunately and unfortunately - were made in Gielinor. And during those times, before there Runescape Wiki became more popular, I would always come back to RuneHQ for its guides on...everything. Thank you for guiding that pre-teen along in the game.

Core part of my memories as a child. I still remember asking my mother to print quest guides for me at her office.
