A Tribute and Farewell

In Loving Memory

Celebrating 23 years of RuneHQ history
and the community that made it special.

More than a website: a home for adventurers, a library of shared knowledge, and friendships that reached far beyond the game.

A Tribute To

Deb & Gene

The hearts behind RuneHQ

Deb and Gene helped shape RuneHQ into a place where adventurers could learn, share, and belong. We honor their vision, dedication, kindness, and generosity, and the community built around those values.

“More than a website, RuneHQ was a home—and at its heart were two extraordinary people.”

Without Deb and Gene here to help us carry RuneHQ forward, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the RuneHQ website at the end of 2026.

I wouldn't still be playing OSRS today if it wasn't for all the help I received as a kid on RuneHQ developing a love and passion for Runescape. Thank you for everything!

I used to play runescape growing up with a late friend of mine and I cannot thank you enough for the help and guides back then, it felt like such a big world and we would run around aimlessly for hours. Sad to see RuneHQ go but I am glad to have those memories. Don't be sad its over, be glad it happened.

While I no longer play RuneScape, I am grateful for the role it had and continues to have in my life. Friends of mine have gotten married through this game, I learned to type at a ridiculous speed and continue to see my social group play. Good bye RuneHQ and thank you for all the adventures.
