A Tribute and Farewell

In Loving Memory

Celebrating 23 years of RuneHQ history
and the community that made it special.

More than a website: a home for adventurers, a library of shared knowledge, and friendships that reached far beyond the game.

A Tribute To

Deb & Gene

The hearts behind RuneHQ

Deb and Gene helped shape RuneHQ into a place where adventurers could learn, share, and belong. We honor their vision, dedication, kindness, and generosity, and the community built around those values.

Deb and Gene seated together, smiling at the camera.
Deb & Gene

“More than a website, RuneHQ was a home—and at its heart were two extraordinary people.”

Without Deb and Gene here to help us carry RuneHQ forward, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the RuneHQ website at the end of 2026.

Always was an amazing site/place to get information. This was great help to me back in the early days. I've been away for a while but for the many years I was apart of this community I felt like it was family.

Will never forget all the times I used this site growing up, will always be remembered

Runescape has always been a big part of my life. Some of my earliest memories of Runescape have RuneHQ in it. When I knew nothing, this site taught me a lot. I completed most of the quest in this game for the first time with help from RuneHQ. I will never forget this site and its staff that did so much. Goodbye RuneHQ

This website was the best. I had two home pages back in the day, and this was one of them. Gone but not forgotten

Your website brings fond memories as a child trying to solve and figure out how to complete various quests. It sparks memories of a younger me. I feel as though more and more of what I knew growing up is slowly fading away. The memory of what this site brought me will always be a vestige in my heart. Thank you.

My old username was Oblivionn4, at one point I had an account on the site but the passwords to it and many other sites are long gone. To any and all that remember that name, hello old friends. I was once 11, 21 years ago. I now sit here 32. Names I used to remember, AceKing95, UnknownDog5, Sooq, Minority95. You are all names I remember, old as time, missing but a fond memory. If any of you read this, hello. I am doing well, I hope you are too.

Used this back in 2004 for questing. Crazy to think how long of a run it's had. RIP to a legend.
