Without Deb and Gene here to help us carry RuneHQ forward, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the RuneHQ website at the end of 2026.

I recently returned to Runescape after being away for nearly 20 years. It's been a magical and nostalgic experience, getting to relive this game with my sister. Almost immediately I came back to RuneHQ and it brought back so many memories of staying up late into the night on some ridiculous rune essence grind, flipping between calculators counting the hours to get my skills high enough.

RuneHQ taught me the game. I'm sure every free-to-play quest, every part I built on my house, and every skill I trained was influenced by what I read here. It's sad to see it go, but so special to read the impact it had on so many people.

Used this site for 20+ years

Used to use RuneHQ for every quest I did, giving me a nudge in the right direction if I got lost, and would often use the calculators when I was skilling. Will very much be missed by everyone that used it, but also fondly remembered for everything that it gave us all. So long, and thanks for all the fish(ing xp).

There are no words to express the loss we will all feel to have connected with others over a simple game and the love of such went forth into this amazing game guide which I have been using this for over 20 years it is a shame it will be shut done but all good things must come to an end. ~Don't cry because it's over, laugh because it happened

A Farewell to Our Community

To our visitors, members, guide writers, donors, moderators, staff, and friends: thank you for every question answered, every guide improved, every discussion shared, and every friendship formed.

RuneHQ was more than a website. It was a community, and that was always because of you.

Although the site is closing, the RuneHQ Discord and clan will continue, giving the community a place to stay connected and carry on the friendships built here.

It's not goodbye, just a new chapter.
