In Loving Memory

Using my original Runescape username from when I started playing in 2007. I was just a kid at the time and I had the hardest time figuring out how to do quests. My cousin showed me RuneHQ and the rest is history. RuneHQ was my go-to site and always had it open in a separate tab when exploring Gielinor. I'm glad to learn who was behind this incredible site and give my thanks. RIP Deb & Gene. Thank you for the lifelong nostalgia and god bless your families.

Way back in 2008-2011, I took part in the creation of most quest guides, and most of the pictures in the quest guides were taken by me. I miss everyone from the golden era. We used to host so many events together! I remember Terr, MooMoo, Graystar, and there were so many more that I can't remember their name at the moment. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Used RuneHQ on a daily basis as a kid back during 2005-2008 days, made my Runescape adventure back then so much better.

After many years of overcoming all sorts of obstacles and challenges to keep the RuneHQ website up and running, it saddens me a great deal to realize it's now finally coming to an end. So many people have passionately (and voluntarily) worked on this website and community over the years that it's hard to express the impact it has had in words. I myself first joined the RuneHQ staff as a Content Editor back in 2006, as a 13-year-old. I remember feeling extremely proud to be given that opportunity and trust, especially at such a young age. It was my first encounter with coding; it sparked my interest so much that I started to teach myself PHP, which eventually grew into starting my own one-man web development business in real life. So I can truly say RuneHQ shaped an important part of my life. I also had the pleasure of working alongside Gene(a.k.a. MrStormy, the founder) and DRAVAN at the time, as well as many other people—too many to name. I will cherish the memories and thank everyone who has been part of RuneHQ all these years. Even though the website is closing down, it's great to know the community can still get together on our Discord channel, hopefully to remain for a long time to come!

Can't thank you all enough for the memories you helped foster. Rest in peace Deb & Gene.

I still have the webpage printout my friends and I used for Heroes Quest back in the day. What a good run!

I remember sitting in my friend’s basement playing RuneScape together. Trying to quest with RuneHQ on another window. Great memories sad to see it end, but without an ending you can’t appreciate the beginning.
