A Tribute and Farewell

In Loving Memory

Celebrating 23 years of RuneHQ history
and the community that made it special.

More than a website: a home for adventurers, a library of shared knowledge, and friendships that reached far beyond the game.

A Tribute To

Deb & Gene

The hearts behind RuneHQ

Deb and Gene helped shape RuneHQ into a place where adventurers could learn, share, and belong. We honor their vision, dedication, kindness, and generosity, and the community built around those values.

Deb and Gene seated together, smiling at the camera.
Deb & Gene

“More than a website, RuneHQ was a home—and at its heart were two extraordinary people.”

Without Deb and Gene here to help us carry RuneHQ forward, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the RuneHQ website at the end of 2026.

I frequently used RuneHQ to help me with quests back in the mid-2000s. RuneHQ will be sincerely missed.

I have had the pleasure to use this community for its helpful guides, its quests and many other things. Afterwards even helping RuneHQ in various roles both on the site and ingame. It has been a wild emotional ride which has come to an end but also as a new beginning! For me RuneHQ will always exsist. May RuneHQ rest together with Gene & Deb.

I joined RS back in the mid-2000s. Even after creating a new account in recent years, I still kept coming back to this site. Thank you for all you've done!

Such sad news about closing down but Thank you Gene and Deb for 23 incredible years of dedication to this community. RuneHQ was a massive part of my childhood and my journey through RuneScape. Rest in peace, MrStormy and Weezy. You will never be forgotten by the players you helped along the way.

I haven't visited the site in many years now, but at one point, I was on this site every single day. I appreciate everyone's hard work over the years and the memories this site has brought to so many.
