Without Deb and Gene here to help us carry RuneHQ forward, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the RuneHQ website at the end of 2026.

yo. Been a hot minute since I been on here, but after several discord dm's I felt like I should probably say something lol. I joined RHQ back in 2009 during the birthday celebrations hosted by alba, bob, ziggy, crablogger, mechachomp, lilroo and deb. By the time everything was over I was a part of the FC and active on the forums. Bothering Tri, edd, and bazzy in radio chat and in IRC chat memeing with bunny, edd, kass, and the rest of the IRC gang. After several years, joining the events team and eventually being in charge of the team I always loved before leaving back in 2018. Looking back on everything and all the great people I meet here over the years I wouldn't take it back for a minute. Its been blast and hope everyone keeps hosting/attending events and get-togethers with or without the site! Keep the community everyone has help built alive and well! <3

20+ years of RuneHQ. Back when “how do I do this quest?” meant reading a wall of text this place was the one stop shop. As a kid the calculator helped me focus on grinding my levels after school too. RIP the site and Godspeed to Deb and Gene for helping me enjoy my childhood on RS.

And even now to this day when I get back from the inevitable break all RuneScape players take, this has and was my go to guide site. You will be missed tremendously. To our visitors, members, guide writers, donors, moderators, staff, and friends: thank you for every question answered, every guide improved, every discussion shared, and every friendship formed.

RuneHQ was more than a website. It was a community, and that was always because of you.

Although the site is closing, the RuneHQ Discord and clan will continue, giving the community a place to stay connected and carry on the friendships built here.

It's not goodbye, just a new chapter.
