The title says it all. Which is the best? Waffles, french toast or pancakes?

All three are regularly served with butter & maple syrup on top. However, you can envision them with powdered sugar, fruit, or other toppings if you wish. Items such as blueberry/chocolate pancakes (with items on the inside) are also up for discussion. However, you MAY NOT bring crepes or blintzes into this coversation. As we know, these two creations are both very good and should be placed in a league of their own. Also, they can be served in methods that the other three foods cannot.

With that being said, I tend to side with french toast. It's usually more moist and doesn't absorb the syrup as much.

This is the hardest choice ever.

Waffles are out, unless they're Belgium. Flavored waffles (blueberry/chocolate chip in particular) are yummy.

French toast is okay, only the microwaveable ones I buy frozen.

Pancakes are usually the clear winner. Chocolate pancakes with just whipped cream on them, mm mm mm. Nothing tastes better. Also, double butter w/ syrup or food coloring for funsies.

French Toast takes the lead, even the batter you soak the toast in taste great .

After French Toast, then waffles then pancakes.

Crepes do take it all though but as you said they are in a league of their own .

My dad's passed down waffle and pancake recipes, combined with old fashioned well seasoned equipment to cook them (our waffle iron literally has a cloth cord) makes them both to die for... But in the end I'm going to have to go with the pancakes, just because they have buttermilk and chocolate chip <3

French toast, definitely. Pancakes get too soggy way too quickly, and waffles are only good while they are still fresh. Plus both are generally too sweet, even with only minimal syrup and no powdered sugar or anything else.

I do like crepes though.

They're all good, but waffles are the best.

Pancakes and French toast are only good when they have that crisp on the edges.

My grandma makes good frenchtoast, but otherwise I don't like it.

Waffles aren't really ever that great.

oh i love french toast! I'm gonna buy ingridients for them on the 1st when i has more grocery monies... for now though I'm gonna make some choc chip waffles

pancakes are boring,

i really like waffles AND french toast... french toast is really epic but you can do more with waffles.... pancakes are fail all around
