Note: To reach Miscellania, ask the Sailor on the docks of Rellekka to take you to the island. The easiest way to reach Miscellania is via the Fairy Ring code CIP or by using the Ring of wealth (4) teleport.

  2. Speak with either Princess Astrid or Prince Brand and a cut scene will occur in which they will tell you that the war is most likely to break out again and suggest that you try to persuade the king to marry Queen Sigrid.

    Princess Astrid and Prince Brand

  3. Enter the throne room and talk to King Vargas. He will avoid the subject of the war and instead will explain that some of the villagers' resources have gone missing. Offer your help, and the king will suggest that you talk to Miscellania's citizens.

    King Vargas

  4. Leave the castle and speak to either Gunnhild at the flax and herb patches southeast of the castle, Leif at the maples east of the castle, Magnus at the coal mine northeast of the castle, or Fisherman Frodi at the docks southeast of the castle. You will learn that Etceterian soldiers came and demanded tithes from the citizens. They refused to pay them but found out the next morning that some of their resources had been stolen. Return to King Vargas and he will ask you to talk to Queen Sigrid.

    Gunnhild

  5. Walk over to Etceteria and talk to Queen Sigrid, on the second floor of the castle. She will inform you that King Vargas has declared war again and that the resources from her citizens have also been taken. Offer your help, and the queen will suggest that you talk to Etceteria's citizens.

    Queen Sigrid

  6. Go outside the castle and talk to any one of the citizens there. Moldof, wandering around near the teak trees north of Etceteria castle will tell you that it were Miscellanian soldiers that came and demanded tribute from the citizens. Moldof refused to and found out the next morning that his quiver and arrows had been stolen.

    Moldof

  7. Report back to Queen Sigrid. She will say that King Vargas is trying to start a war and that Etceteria has no army. Return to the king and tell him what you have discovered. He will blame Queen Sigrid for everything and recommends that you to talk to Advisor Ghrim. The advisor thinks that someone from outside must have taken them and suggests that you speak to the Sailor at the docks.

  8. Head to the docks southeast of the castle and ask the Sailor if anyone suspicious that came to the island. He will inform you that a couple of kids came from the mainland a few weeks back to visit their relatives in the dungeons.

    Sailor

  9. Report this to King Vargas and he will give you a Scroll that will allow you to enter the dungeons. The king will also ask you to investigate some odd monster sightings in the dungeon. Show the Scroll to the Guard near the ladder southeast of the castle and descend down it.

    Dungeon

  10. Once inside of the Miscellania Dungeon, head north and talk to Thorodin. He will direct you to Donal in the dungeon's inn. Enter the inn to the southeast and talk to Donal. He will tell you about the monster and how to get to it. Before the conversation ends, he will provide you with a mining prop.

    Thorodin and Donal

  11. Return to the area when you found Thorodin and use the Mining prop with the crevice to go through. Take 2 Ropes, 3 Beams, 3 Pulley beams out of the crates and pick up the Engine. Use a Pulley beam with the broken scaffold and then use a Pulley beam with a Beam to make a Long pulley beam. Use another Beam on the Long pulley beam to create an even Longer pulley beam. Use this and another Pulley beam on the broken scaffold. Now, use a Rope with the scaffold and a Beam with the platform. Put the Engine on the engine platform and use the 5 Coal on it. Once the engine is running, go up the lift. Pick up the nearby Plank and enter the tunnel to the east.

Note: If you forgot to bring 5 pieces of Coal, then use your toolbelt pickaxe, or pull a Bronze pickaxe out of a nearby rock and mine 5 Coal in the cave with the crates.

    Lift

  12. Head east to a river and use a Rope on the overhanging rock. Jump across and search the fire remains for a Burnt diary, containing one page. Continue further into the tunnel until you reach a four slippery rocks. Use the Plank with each of rocks and walk across.

Note: If you just run over the rocks without have used a plank with them, you may take 80 damage.

    Rocks

  13. Search all of the fire remains in the next part of the tunnel to obtain the remaining pages of the Burnt diary. When you have collected all of the pages, read the diary and squeeze through the crevice at the end. A cut scene will occur, in which you will be told that a sea snake has made a nest at place where the stolen items are being kept.

Note: Avoid walking over the steam vents or you will take 90 damage. Also stay away from the sides because rocks may come falling down and deal 80 damage.

    Fire

  14. Follow the tunnel, passing non-aggressive Sea snake hatchlings (level 62) and Sea Snake Young (90), and squeeze through the crevice at the end. You will appear in a cavern filled with snake eggs, and a Giant Sea Snake will emerge out of the water. If you are standing close to snake, she will attack with melee. If she cannot reach you with her melee, she will switch to ranged attacks. Once it has been defeated, it will drop a Large box.

Note: It is advised that you use the Protect from Melee and/or Protect from Missiles prayers. The Giant Sea Snake's attacks can poison you even if you are using protection prayers. Therefore, it is recommended that you take a sip from a Super antipoison potion before entering the cavern, or if you have the poison purge aura, activating that.

    Giant Sea Snake

  15. Pick up the Heavy box and squeeze through the crevice. Climb up the nearby rope and report to Queen Sigrid. She will take the box from you and give a Letter, 20K Coins, and an Empty box. Take the letter to King Vargas and claim your reward.
