To Start:
Speak to Dimintheis.
Instructions:
  1. Head to the fenced-off area, southeast of the Varrock east bank, and ask Dimintheis at his house why a nobleman like him lives in such a dump. He will tell you that he cannot take back his estate without his family's crest and that his sons took the crest when they left. Dimintheis will then ask you to locate his sons and recover his family crest.

Note: The easiest way to reach Varrock is by using the Varrock teleport spell (requires 25 Magic).

    Dimintheis

  2. Travel to Gertrude's house just west of Varrock and speak to Caleb the chef. He will inform you that his brothers and he accidentally broke the crest into three parts and that each of them ended up with a piece. Caleb will only give you his piece of the crest in exchange for a Bass, Salmon, Shrimps, Swordfish, and a Tuna. Give him these cooked fish and he will hand over the Crest part 1. Talk to him again and he will tell you about the second brother, who lives in Al Kharid, and that you should talk to the Gem Trader in Al Kharid to find out more about his brother's whereabouts.

    Caleb

  3. Speak with the Gem trader in Al Kharid and tell him that you are in search of a man called Avan Fitzharmon. He will then talk about a man with a yellow cape, hanging around the gold rocks at the Scorpion Pit Chasm mine, north of Al Kharid.

Note: The easiest way to reach Al Kharid is by using home teleport lodestone or an Amulet of glory teleport.

    Gem Trader

  4. Head north towards the entrance of the Scorpion Pit Chasm mine, where you will find a well-dressed man called Avan. He will tell you that if you want his part of the crest you will need to make him a 'perfect' necklace and a 'perfect' ring. Avan will then direct you to a dwarf named Boot who knows where to find the 'perfect' gold ore.

    Noble Man

  5. Enter the Dwarven Mines, below the city of Falador, and talk to the dwarf Boot in the far western corner of the mine. He will tell you that the finest gold can be found in an underground ruin near Witchaven.

Note: The easiest way to reach Falador is by using the Falador teleport spell (requires 37 Magic) or Falador lodestone home teleport.

    Boot

  6. Make your way to the village of Witchaven, southeast of Ardougne, and descend down the old ruin entrance to the west of the village. Run past some Hobgoblins and Ogres to a locked chamber, containing the finest gold rocks. To unlock the door, you must pull a set of levers in the dungeon in the following order.

    • Go to the northern wall and pull that lever up.
    • Head into the southern room and pull that lever up.
    • Go back to the northern wall and pull that lever down.
    • Go inside the northern room and pull that lever up.
    • Leave the room and pull the lever on the northern wall up.
    • Go back to the southern room and pull that lever down.

Note: If you do not know the status of a lever (up or down), then you can use their inspect option to find out. The easiest way to reach Witchaven is by using the Ardougne teleport spell (requires 51 Magic and completion of the Plague City quest) and walking southeast to the village.

    Witchaven

  7. Once the door has been unlocked, enter the chamber. Mine two 'perfect' gold ores from the available rocks but avoid the Hellhounds.

    Gold Rocks

  8. Return to Al Kharid and smelt these ores at the city's furnace into two 'Perfect' gold bars. Now, craft a 'perfect' necklace and a 'perfect' ring by using the two bars, two Rubies, a Necklace mould, and a Ring mould with the furnace. Take these to the Avan at the entrance of the Scorpion Pit Chasm mine. He will then give you the Crest part 2 and tell you about his younger brother, who hangs out at a tavern near the eastern edge of the Wilderness.

Note: The easiest way to reach Al Kharid is by using home teleport lodestone or an Amulet of glory teleport.

    Furnace

  9. Head to the second floor of the Jolly Boar Inn, northeast of Varrock near the edge of the Wilderness. There you will find Johnathon, the third son. When you try to talk to him he will not make much sense. Use one Antipoisons to cure him and he will tell you that the demon Chronozon has his crest part in its possession. Johnathon will then tell you that he was poisoned by Poison spiders when he tried to escape out of the dungeon and that in order to kill Chronozon you will need to cast all of the blast spells on him. Before you proceed to the next step, prepare yourself to battle Chronozon (level 84) and a bunch of Poison spiders (level 63). Also crest parts MUST be in your inventory during the battle.

    Jonathan chat

  10. Head down into the Edgeville Dungeon, through the trapdoor south of the Edgeville bank, and follow the path northwards until you have a passageway to your left and a door to your right. Go through the left passageway and dodge some Poison spiders.

    Edgeville Dungeon

  11. Once past, attack Chronozon. While you are battling him, you must successfully cast all of the 4 blast spells once. Once killed, pick up the Crest part 3 and leave the dungeon.

Note: Upon every successful spell cast, there will be a notification in your chat box. If you miss, it does not count as successfully casted spell. If you do not cast all of the 4 blast spells on him, he will regenerate. Pillars at the back of the room can be used a safe spots.

    Chronozon

  12. Use the 3 Crest parts on each other to assemble the Family crest and return to Dimintheis to claim your reward.

    Congratulations! Quest Complete!

Enchanting the Gauntlets:

The Family gauntlets can be enchanted by any of the three sons. They will enchant the gauntlets once for free. After that, each son will charge 25K Coins to re-enchant the gauntlets. If lost or destroyed, the gauntlets can be retrieved from Dimintheis in Varrock for free and with the same enhancement on them.

Gauntlets Son To talk to Effect
Cooking Gauntlets
Cooking gauntlets
Caleb in Varrock Decreases the chance of burning food when worn.
Goldsmith Gauntlets
Goldsmith gauntlets
Avan at the Scorpion Pit Chasm mine, north of Al Kharid Yields an additional 33.2 Smithing experience when smithing Gold bars.
Chaos Gauntlets

Known Bug: There is a bug with the gauntlets where you can't change them upon receiving them for the first time, even though they're not displayed as Goldsmith Gauntlets, Cooking Gauntlets, or Chaos Gauntlets. You have to destroy them and get them back from Dimintheis. They'll display as Cooking Gauntlets by default when you get them back again, and from there you can go get them changed if you wish to do so.
