Advent Calendar

The jingle bells are ringing and the Christmas decorations are coming out (or have been since Halloween) – tomorrow is the 1st December and the advent countdown begins! From 00:00 on the 1st December through to 23:59 on the 25th December, see a different promotion on Treasure Hunter each day, plus open your advent calendar for a free daily gift.

On the community tab you will find the advent calendar, and each day you will be able to open a new door and receive a fabulous prize. That prize will relate to what’s on Treasure Hunter that day, so make sure you take a look! Whilst you can collect each prize from advent up until the 9th January, the promotions on Treasure Hunter will only be available for 24 hour periods!

The one exclusion is the Christmas Pinatas which you’ll see on the 1st December and then throughout December 1st-25th – break these open to receive awesome goodies and chances at the new Christmas Rares! And those rares are...

  • Christmas Present Sack
  • Elf Shoes
  • Christmas Tree Cape
  • Rudolph Necklace
  • Wreath Shield
  • Christmas Present Helmet
  • Present Hammers
  • Stocking Teleport
  • Tony the Snowman Pet
  • Stack of Presents

Christmas Pinatas will be available throughout the whole advent period, with better chances at winning them on the 1st and the 25th of December.

Good luck, and enjoy the December celebrations!

What is Treasure Hunter?

Treasure Hunter is playable from within RuneScape, allowing players to use Keys to claim in-game items as prizes. These range from useful resources to rare weapons and exclusive gear.

Playing Treasure Hunter is simple - click the treasure chest icon that pops up when you log in. If you've not played before, just follow the on-screen guide.

Everyone gets at least one Key per day, and RuneScape members get two. You can earn more Keys while playing the game, or stock up by redeeming Bonds.

If you'd like more, you can also buy Keys on the website, or by clicking 'Buy Keys' within the Treasure Hunter interface in-game.
