When the amulet is purchased it comes with a constant(when worn) effect called Solar Glare which gives an extra 3% damage to Vampyres and Vyres. For the price of more feral vampyre fangs, you were able to purchase upgrades (that operated on a charge system) and more charges. These upgrades had to be purchased in the following order:
Extra charges could be purchased at the cost of 25 feral vampyre fangs for 1 charge; up to 4,000 charges could be added to the amulet.
- For 500 feral vampyre fangs you could add 5 charges and obtain the Killer Contract effect. This effect doubles your reward on Slayer contracts at the cost of 1 charge each.
- For 1,000 feral vampyre fangs you could add 10 charges and obtain the Friend in Need effect. This effect boosts the experience gained by the companions in Temple Trekking by 25%.
- For 2,000 feral vampyre fangs you could add 15 charges and obtain the Dead Lucky effect. This allows you to reroll the items found in the Barrows chest once per trip at the cost of 2 charges.
Extra charges could be purchased at the cost of 25 feral vampyre fangs for 1 charge; up to 4,000 charges could be added to the amulet.
