Runecoins:

Runecoins are a new currency created by Jagex to purchase customizations from Solomon's General Store. When you first open the store, you will be given a free 200 runecoins (collected at the top of the interface). After this, RuneCoins are obtained through purchase with real world money.

General Store:

The General store can be accessed by the dedicated tab it shares with the Squeal of Fortune, between the spell book and the friends list tab. This tab will show you how many runecoins you have, and you can click on the general store to open it.

Clicking to open the store will log you out of the game and redirect you to a new screen.

Customization Screen

To change into the outfits you have purchased, you need to use the customization screen. This can be found in the equipment tab, at the bottom on the right.

Once clicked, you will see the following screen:


To equip particular parts of a set you have bought, you will need to select the different body areas. If you want to equip the whole set, you can do this via "full outfits". You can turn your character by clicking on the arrows to either side of the image

At the bottom, there is an option to save your selected outfit, by equipping it, activating it, then choosing a preset and clicking "save". This will save your outfit and to reload it, just select the preset and click "load".

At the top, you can choose to edit your titles, skill/spell animations and hairstyle via "titles", "animations" and "avatar".

Hairstyles

Hairstyles in the Solomon's store all provide multiple colours of your choice. This can be changed by heading to the customization screen and selecting "avatar" at the top of the interface.



All purchased hairstyles will be found under the "premium hairstyles" tab, and once selected you can change the colors by clicking on the individual color options. When you have selected your first color, click at the top above the colors to change to the secondary option. Once finished, make sure you click "activate" and your hairstyle will be changed.

In Dec 2012 Jagex released new pets to the Solomons Store. These creatures can be summoned from your customization interface (after purchase) and, once grown, will be able to do three things:

At baby growth, the pet can forage for items. It can be told to forage, or after a period of "inactivity" (doesn't mean you do nothing - can be standing at a bank skilling), the pet will forage for items.

At juvenile growth, the pet can scavenge for drops - whilst killing monsters, the pet will run to where the monster dies and pick up one of the monster's drop. The things a pet will pick up include:



You need to activate the Forage ability when killing monsters for the pet to pick up items.

At adult growth, the pet can take one item to the bank per 10 minutes. The pet will disappear for a minute when this is done.

Each pet also has 6 cool emotes (2 per growth stage) which can be activated by interacting with them.

Your pet can "fight" with another pet in your area! (no pets are injured)

You can choose which growth stage you want your pet to be (when you have reached all 3 stages) when you summon it!
