Introduction:

Trucks

Coal trucks, one of the best inventions for Level 30-60 Miners. (After 60 you have access to the mining guild, which is a much faster way to mine coal) This isn't like any other mining, in that instead of mining and depositing in the bank, you put the coal into a Coal truck. Coal trucks hold 120 ores before you must bank them, but more on that later. The best part, is when you put the coal into the trucks it automatically moves to any truck along the route. Which means when you're full, you can just walk on over to the coal truck deposit station (just west-northwest of Seers bank.)

Note: Some people (even if they can access Mining guild) tend to use the coal trucks, as the mining guild can get pretty full. Try to find a world with no one at coal trucks and it can be very beneficial.

Steps to correct coal trucking:

You've got 30+ Mining, a pickaxe, and all your goods. Time to start mining your coal! The next few steps will take you through some of the most effective ways to begin your coal truck runs. Let's start at the bank before you begin your adventure. You need to get your pickaxe. A pickaxe you can wield is a very good investment, but if you can use rune, but not wield go with the best one you're able to mine with, as since you use coal trucks taking up room in your inventory isn't that big of a deal. If you're not Level 55+ Combat, I suggest taking some sort of protection.(Level 27 Giant Bats roam the coal truck mining area) Leather type materials are good to use as there light-weight and do offer protection. Also an amulet of defence, power, glory or a fury amulet are very beneficial. This is also good if you've got 55+ combat, but like to fight randoms while mining, for those of you who don't fight them you don't need to take protective Armour, as it weighs you down. Other good items to take: boots of lightness (decreases your total weight by 4kg, and it has the ability to take your weight into the negatives), Spotted/Spottier cape, and Penance gloves are also good to have, as they lower your weight as well. (Spotted reduces by 3kg and Spottier by 5kg.) Another item that can REALLY help with coal trucks, is a Camelot tele tab! (Or Camelot tele runes with 45+ Magic) This makes the shortest and fastest route! After you've got everything you have decided on taking, it's time to mine some coal!
Below are a list of proven ways to use coal trucks to there full extent, to make mining coal fast and effective.

Map

White = If you have 20 agility (Longer route).
Blue = If you have 20 agility (Shorter route).
Red = If you don't have 20 agility (Longest route).
Green = Camelot teleport tablet route (Shortest route).
Yellow = Path from Coal truck depot to bank.

How it's done:

The coal trucks are an interesting invention, allowing you to deposit or withdraw your coal at any of the trucks along the track. To best understand how you go about it, you should be already at the mining area while reading the guide. Scattered around the mine are 18 coal rocks in which to mine, perfect amount for you and even a few others. If it's to busy, you should try hopping worlds. 10 chances to one, you'll find a world with few people.

You've finished getting your first load of coal in your inventory. Now you must deposit them into one of the coal trucks. To do so, simply walk over to one of the coal trucks (near Mr. Stankers is one of the closest). Now to deposit your coal into the coal truck, simply click on a piece of coal, the click on the coal truck (use your coal with coal truck), It's that simple! You've now put your first load of coal into the trucks. You then repeat this until the coal truck is filled with all 120 coal. Just a little side note- Coal ores will NEVER disappear from the coal truck. You can leave them in there as long as you need. Even if you lose membership and become a member again, they'll be waiting for you!

To check how much coal is in the truck, just right click on it and click "investigate". That will give you the current amount. Again note- You can deposit, withdraw or check amounts of coal at ANY truck along the rail.

Once the coal truck is full with 120 coal, you may fill up your inventory again! (You may not want to, because it does weigh you down) This is especially valuable if you're using the Camelot Tele Tab route! Now return to the Seer's Village coal truck depot. (Just slightly West north-west of Seer's bank)

Now you're at the coal truck depot. Right click the coal truck and click "Remove-Coal" Your inventory will then fill up (as many spots as you have open and or how ever many coal you have left in the truck) with coal. Then run over to Seers bank and deposit them! Repeat this step until all of your coal is in your bank, and your coal truck is once again empty. When you're done, return to the coal mine and repeat all the previous steps!

Note: the numbers on the map correspond with the descriptions below.

  1. Here is Mr. Stankers. He will tell you about the coal trucks and will give you a poison chalice for free. (It's a cocktail drink). Watch out when you drink it because it randomly hits or heals 1-49 hitpoints. The Closest Coal truck is right beside him.

Coal Truck Etiquette:

  1. If someone is mining on a rock, don't try to out mine them! The First one at the rock is the person that stays.
  2. If you arrive at the coal mines, and it looks full, YOU switch worlds. Don't start mining and tell other people to. First come, first mine.
  3. Be polite, courteous and helpful! What goes around, comes around.
