Talk to Doric in his workshop northwest of Falador and he will inform you that people have stopped ordering from him and that his son, Boric, has just finished studying in Keldagrim, but has failed to return home. You'll suggest that you present Doric's best items to his last customer to boost his profile. Doric will require two High-quality copper ore and two High-quality tin ore. He will give you an Ore bag and a Mining sites map to retrieve these ores.
Read the Mining sites map which will toggle the hint arrow on or off. The first arrow will show you to the Dwarven mines. Make your way to the Dwarven mines and go south until you get to the correct copper ore. Mine the copper ore and a level 2 Living rock brawler will appear, defeat it and pick up the High-quality copper ore that it drops.
Read the Mining sites map again and it will toggle another hint arrow that points to Varrock's southwest mine. Make your way to the mine and mine some tin ore. Another level 2 Living rock brawler will appear, defeat it and pick up the High-quality tin ore that it drops. You'll find a Broken anvil amulet when you pick up the ore.
Read the Mining sites map once again and it will toggle another hint arrow that points to Varrock's southeast mine. Make your way to Varrock's southeast mine and mine some copper or tin ore and a level 2 Living rock brawler will appear. Defeat it and pick up the high-quality ore that it drops. You'll also receive a Wizard's diary when you pick up the ore.
Read the Mining sites map for the last time and it will toggle yet another hint arrow that points to Rimmington mine. Make your way to Rimmington mine and a cut scene will occur. During the cut scene a Concealed dwarf and Dark Wizard Elijah have booby-trapped the rocks with a spell. Mine some copper ore and another level 2 Living rock brawler will appear, defeat it and pick up the High-quality ore that it drops.
Make your way back to Doric and inform him that the ores are alive. You'll give him the ores and he'll look at both the "amulet" and Wizard's diary.
Doric will request that you make him a bronze sword and a bronze dagger to give as samples. Withdraw the High-quality ore from the bag and smith them into High-quality bronze bars to the south. Move to the anvil east and create a High-quality bronze dagger and a High-quality bronze sword.
Once these are created speak with Doric again and he will tell you to take these items to Aksel in Falador's Artisan Workshop so that he can finish them for you. Once that is done he says to take these weapons to Falador's castle and present them to Sir Amik's squire Cerlyn.
Make your way to the Artisan's workshop in the southeast corner of Falador. Speak with Aksel and tell him that you need help finishing the weapons. He requires you to speak with Sten on his progress with laying the tracks to the Dwarven Mines. Head to the back (East) of the workshop and go down the stairs.
Sten will inform you that progress is slow due to the weekly cave-ins and he needs support. Head back to Aksel who has just finished with the weapons.
Head northwest to Falador's castle and speak with Ceryln on the ground floor of the West tower and tell him you're here to present weapons from Doric. Ceryln will then inform you that someone from Doric is already here, Ceryln will become concerned and suggest interrupting the meeting. A cut scene will occur in which the Concealed dwarf will reveal himself to be Boric, Doric's son.
Another cut scene will occur where Boric confronts his father and informs him that he feels he was a disappointment. A Family Conflict meter will appear and you'll have to encourage the conversation to become friendly.
These are all the "good" things to say:
Boric, tell Doric about your graduation.
Boric, tell Doric what you thought of your education.
Doric, tell Boric what you want Boric's future to be.
Boric, tell Doric why you wanted to stay here.
Doric, tell Boric what you thought when Boric was born.
Doric, tell Boric why you sent him to Keldagrim.
Boric, tell Doric what you thought when Doric sent you away.
Once the Family Conflict bar is completely green Doric will forgive Boric for all that he has done.
Speak with Doric again to and he'll thank you for helping him, they will then ask you to join them as a business partner, accept this offer and ask what you should do. They require two very simple tasks, to clear the rocks in the caves below the workshop and smith two suits of ornamental armor for the mannequin bases and a new sign for the shop front, Boric will provide you with the bars.
Head north and down the stairs into the caves. Mine the rocks to the west to clear them and this will open up a useable furnace, as well as some anvils. Use one of the anvils down there to create an Ornamental platebody, Ornamental chainbody, and a Shop sign. Return back upstairs and speak with Doric and Boric again. Give Doric the items and the opening ceremony cut scene will occur.
Congratulations! Quest complete!
