You can purchase a Smithing Cape from him for 99,000 gp.
The Knight's Sword quest: Give him a Redberry pie to get him to talk to you. He will need a Portrait, 2 Iron bars and some Blurite ore to make a duplicate sword. Also helps in The Giant Dwarf where he will fix an axe for you.
Located in his house with an anvil on the southwest side of the peninsula, west of the Blurite dungeon entrance.
He is also involved in the Defender of Varrock quest. He directs you Camdozaal by giving you the Scrap of paper with co-ordinates on it.
