How to get there

The Heart Of Gielinor dungeon is located within the Kharidian Desert just South West of Nardah.

There are various ways to get there quickly including using The Heart teleport tablet, using a Desert amulet (2, 3, or 4) to teleport to Nardah and run from there. Alternative methods can include: using the fairy ring D-L-Q and running South West from there, the Magic Carpet network to navigate from other desert cities to Nardah, and also using the Bandit Camp Lodestone and walking South East from there. There are no requirements to entering The Heart itself, though each General has a specific level 80 requirement in order to fight them.

Overhead

The Camps

As you descend down the lift you will arrive in an entrance area. You will notice a large tree to the North, outside of which Soothsayer Sibil stands as an NPC used for battling and interacting with Telos. You will also notice the 4 Chosen of each of the warring gods, standing next to their allocated banners.

chosen

Furies Chosen Furies' Chosen Zamorak Insignia
Vindicta's Chosen Vindicta's Chosen Zaros Insignia
Gregorovic's Chosen Gregorovic's Chosen Sliske Insignia
Helwyr's Chosen Helwyr's Chosen Seren Insignia

You are able to talk to each of these Chosen in order to gain an Insignia (after attaining 500 reputation for that specific faction) which denotes your allegiance to that faction. It causes the Minions of your faction to be non-aggressive toward you, as well as allows you to automatically collect Ingression fragments and seals and convert them into reputation. Each of the chosen also is able to show you your reputation with their respective faction, this will be covered in more detail later in the guide. Note that equipping the Shard of Mah will protect you from all factions, however, it does not have the added bonus of collecting the Ingression fragments.

Minions

Across the areas of The Heart you will notice pillars with a glowing light effect around them, this is Disputed territory. Minions of each faction can be found in groups running around the entirety of the dungeon, seeking to defeat their enemies and claim the pillars in the name of their God, leaving some troops to guard it. These pillars have no real effect on the battle, but often show where certain troops of a general may be. All of the Minions inside of the main dungeon drop Ingression fragments when killed. These fragments can be combined to summon reinforcements for a God of your choice. 100 fragments are used for a small wave of reinforcements and rewarding you with 5 reputation. 250 are for a large wave rewarding 15 reputation.

Similar to the original God Wars Dungeon, you must kill a specific number of Minions before being able to enter the camp and face the General itself; Initially this number is 40, but when you have reached 4,500 reputation for any of the factions, you will only need a 20 killcount for that specific faction. Also unlike the original Dungeon, leaving the area does not reset your kill count. Meaning you are able to leave the dungeon and not lose your progress. Note that the kill count has a cap of 200.

The Heart of Gielinor also uses a multiplier system. This means that if you kill Minions fast enough, you can build up the multiplier so that each kill will count for more, up to a 400% increase - thus each Minion kill will be worth 4 times their normal count; you will need to wear the Shard of Mah to reach this multiplier. It is suggested to use either Corruption shot or Corruption blast to quickly reach your necessary kill count or the maximum allowed.

Once you have at least reached your killcount, you are able to proceed into the camp itself. The four camps are located in the four corners of the Heart. Sliske’s Necropolis is located in the North East, Seren’s Encampment in the South East, Zaros’ Bastion to the South West, and Zamorak’s Rampart to the North West.

Map

Sliske’s Necropolis

Located in the North East corner of The Heart lies Sliske’s Necropolis. Here you will find the entrance to fight Gregorovic, his general. It requires level 80 Prayer to enter and contains a portal to the boss arena. Unlike the original God Wars Dungeon, all instances do not cost any Coins. This means you are able to start and rejoin free for up to an hour once you have "paid" the initial hour's worth of followers; if you wish to extend your time in the instance, you will simply be required to use another 40 (or 20) of your killcount. Gregorovic is level 1,000 and has 200,000 hitpoints. He has a regular attack pattern which contains a few special attacks.

  • Trick Knife - Gregorovic throws a knife that will bounce between players.
  • Summon Spirit - Gregorovic summons a spirt of rage, delirium, or mania (depending on where he stands when he summons it). If they reach Sliske, they will empower him in a different manor depending on which spirit was summoned. They can increase his attack damage, poison damage, or attack speed respectively.
  • Glaive Throw - Gregorovic throws his glaive into the air and shadows will appear on the arena floor. Daggers and knives will then fall and damage players standing under the shadows.
  • Summon Shadow - When Gregorovic reaches 140,000 and 60,000 hit points, he summons 2 or 3 shadows depending on which health point he is at. Gregorovic is able to swap places with any of these shadows at one time.

Serens Encampment

Located in the South East corner of The Heart lies Seren’s Encampment. Here you will find the entrance to fight Helwyr, her general. It requires level 80 Magic to enter and contains a portal to the boss arena. Helwyr is level 1,000 and has 200,000 hitpoints. He has a regular attack pattern which contains a few special attacks.

  • Mushroom Growth - Helwyr makes three random mushrooms grow. These then give off a green gas that damages players standing in it.
  • Howl - Helwyr howls and summons two Cywir Alphas to attack the player.
  • Cleave - Helwyr stands on his rear legs and slashes in front of him. If a player is caught in the cone area in front of him they will be hit and will suffer a bleed effect.
  • Frenzy - Helwyr jumps to a player and starts spinning around clawing at the nearby area. This deals high damage and will also start a bleed effect.

Zaros’ Bastion

Located in the South West corner of The Heart lies Zaros’s Bastion. Here you will find the entrance to fight Vindicta, his general. It requires level 80 Attack to enter and contains a portal to the boss arena. Vindicta is level 1,000 and has 200,000 hitpoints. She has a regular attack pattern which contains a few special attacks.

  • Hurricane - Vindicta spins on the spot dealing damage to all surrounding targets.
  • Dragonfire - Vindicta uses her dragon, Gorvek, to breathe a wall of fire onto the ground. Standing in this fire deals a large amount of damage.

Zamoraks Rampart

Located in the North West corner of The Heart lies Zamorak’s Rampart. Here you will find the entrance to fight The Twin Furies - Avaryss and Nymora - his generals. It requires level 80 Ranged to enter and contains a portal to the boss arena. The Twin Furies are level 1,000 and have 200,000 hitpoints shared between them. They have a regular attack pattern which contains a few special attacks.

zamorak

  • Wall Charge - Avaryss jumps onto the walls and flies off in a straight line. If players are hit, they are knocked back and damage is dealt.
  • Ceiling Collapse - Nymora flies up into the ceiling and knocks down stalactites dealing damage everywhere across the arena except a 3X3 area beneath her.
  • Channeled Bomb - Avaryss and Nymora fly to the center of the room and begin to charge their attack while a ring of fire surrounds the outer edges of the arena, damaging any players that stand within it. The sisters channel their powers in order to create an energy portal that shoots fire bolts that damage players. A blue bar above their heads will slowly fill up, when it fills the portal will explode and deal damage to all players within radius.

The Heart

The Heart is the name of where Telos, the Warden, the neutral Gaurdian of the Anima Mundi, resides. He is a very tough solo boss; to access him you must kill each of the generals to receive the following sigil pieces:

The sigil pieces have a 100% drop rate to the player with the most damage dealt to the general if they do not already possess that sigil piece. Once each piece has been obtained, you may combine them to assemble an Ancient sigil which allows you to enter The Heart - located in the entrance area under the large tree.

telos entrance

Similar to Araxxor, Telos uses an enrage system which increases when you kill him. For example, if you kill Telos at 0%, you are able to kill him at 5% enrage the next time. Players are able to custom choose the enrage at which to fight him at, with the highest enrage being the highest rage you have killed him plus 5%. The higher enrage Telos has, the better chance for rare drops he has, although the rare drops can be dropped on any enrage.

Telos uses a large amount of special attacks across multiple phases that change depending on his enrage, this information will be included in a separate guide.

Rewards

All of the generals and Telos drop unique items and pet tokens. The Generals drops include: components to create Tier 80 armour in all combat styles (including a hybrid armor), Tier 85 weapons, and a pet token for each boss. Telos drops the components to create Tier 92 two handed weapons in each style, an ability codex, and a pet token.

The armor sets within The Heart work differently than the original God Wars Dungeon. Instead of dropping the armor pieces themselves, the bosses drop Dormant Anima Core armour pieces (body, legs, or helm). In order to turn these into an equippable armor piece, you must combine it with a crest that is a rare drop from each general. For example, if you wish to turn Dormant Anima Core armor into Anima Core armor of Seren, you must combine it with a Crest of Seren and so forth with the other crests (Sliske, Zaros, Zamorak). After gaining 2,000 reputation in any factions, you are able to add Essences of each faction (Seren, Sliske, Zaros, Zamorak) in order to create a Refined version that is slightly more powerful and untradeable. The body requires 3 of each essence, the legs require 2 of each, and the helm requires 1 of each.

Telos' weapon drops also act in a unique manor. Similar to the armor, he drops a Dormant version of each weapon. In order to turn these into the wieldable version, you must combine them with one of each Orb that Telos drops. These Orbs are always dropped in the same order, similar to the way Crystal triskellion fragments drop. First the Orb of Pure Anima, then the Orb of Volcanic Anima, and finally the Orb of Corrupted Anima. Using all three orbs on a dormant weapon creates its full wieldable counterpart.

Reputation

Within the Heart, you are able to gain reputation with each of the 4 factions (thus excluding Telos). Reputation in turn gives rewards once it reaches a certain threshold with a faction and, in some reward cases, all factions. There are currently 5 ways to gain reputation with the factions.

reputation

  • All Minions within the The Heart drop Ingression fragments when killed. These can be used to summon reinforcements for a faction of your choice. 100 Ingression fragments may be used to summon a small amount of reinforcements and reward the player with 5 reputation in the faction they choose. Once the player gains 250 reputation in any faction, they are then able to summon large reinforcements. This uses 250 Ingression fragments and rewards the player with 15 reputation in the faction of their choice.

  • All bosses within The Heart, excluding Telos, drop seals when they are defeated. These seals can be handed in to the Chosen of any other faction, but not the faction of the boss that dropped the seals. These give the player 5 reputation per seal.
  • If player completes a bounty given to them by Feng, the Bounty Master, he rewards them with 150 reputation in the faction they chose to fight for.

  • Killing a boss, excluding Telos, for the first time gives the player 50 reputation for all factions except the faction that the general belongs to.

  • Killing a boss, except Telos, in Challenge mode for the first time gives the player 100 reputation for all factions except the faction that the general belongs to.

Bounties

Feng, the Bounty Master is found in the Northern part of the entrance area to The Heart. He gives the players bounties to kill factions in order to gain reputation. Players first choose the Faction they fight for, the one in which they want to gain experience in, and are asked to kill 100 of one of the other factions. Minions typically count as 1 towards the total, whereas a boss counts for 25. The multiplier does affect the progress when killing Minions, meaning that killing many of them, in quick succession, can help quickly finish the bounty. Once completed, you must go back to Feng to hand it in and claim the reputation. Players may complete one bounty per day, however, if you miss a day that bounty will stack with the next day's bounty giving you two to complete that day; this can stack up to five to complete.
