Description: Beneath the Karamja Volcano, there is a dungeon, which contains a city ruled by ancient and powerful beings. This city is known as the TzHaar City, and contains a wealth of resources and two exciting mini games.
Because of its age, this ancient town has its own currency called Tokkul. If you wish to buy anything from the stores, you can only use Tokkul. Refer to the Currency Guide to learn how to get Tokkul.

Directions: Inside of the Karamja Volcano.

Persons: TzHaar-Hur-Frok, TzHaar-Hur-Tel, TzHaar-Hur-Lek, TzHaar-Ket, TzHaar-Ket-Grol, TzHaar-Ket-Rok, TzHaar-Ket-Zuh, TzHaar-Mej-Jal, TzHaar-Mej-Kah, TzHaar-Mej-Malk, TzHaar-Mej-Roh, and TzHaar-Xil-Tog.

Monsters: TzHaar-Hur, TzHaar-Ket, TzHaar-Mej, and TzHaar-Xil.

Respawns: None.

  1. Entrance:
    This is the Entrance to the TzHaar city. To get here, you need to climb down the rock on the Karamja Volcano, and then proceed through the cave.

  2. TokTz−Ket−Dill:
    You can start the TokTz−Ket−Dill quest here by talking to TzHaar-Xil-Tog.

  3. Obsidian Mine:
    Upon completion of the TokTz−Ket−Dill quest, you can come here to mine obsidian, used in the Construction skill.

  4. TzHaar Mine:
    Also after completing the TokTz−Ket−Dill quest, you will have access to this mine. It contains 8 Coal, 3 Mithril, and 2 Adamantite ore rocks. The types of rocks are indicated by the colors on the mini-map below.

  5. TzHaar-Hur-Tel's Equipment Store:
    This shop buys and sells the obsidian weaponry and armour. The prices for each item are listed on the lower right side, next to the tokkul symbol, and are subject to change.

    In the table below you will see the translation for each of the weapons sold in the equipment store, and which monster will drop them.

  6. TzHaar-Hur-Lek's Ore and Gem Store:
    All types of uncut gems and all types of ore can be bought and sold here. The prices for each item are listed on the lower right side, next to the tokkul symbol, and are subject to change.

  7. TzHaar-Mej-Roh's Rune Shop:
    This shop sells all the runes up to and including death, with the exception of natures and astral, for Tokkul. The prices for each item are listed on the lower right side, next to the tokkul symbol, and are subject to change.

  8. Fairy Ring:
    This is a fairy ring that can be used to teleport here after completion of the A Fairy Tale Part II - Cure a Queen quest. You must be wearing a Dramen or Lunar staff to be able to use these fairy rings. The code for this ring is B-L-P.

  9. Obelisk:
    Here to can use the Mini-Obelisk to recharge your Summoning points.

  10. Library:
    Here is the Library used in the TokTz−Ket−Dill quest. You can return here to learn more about TzHaar history.

  11. The Lava Forge:
    The lava forge is the TzHaar version of a normal furnace. You can smelt any type of metals here, just like you would at a regular furnace. Combined with the nearby gold and silver rocks, it makes the city a great place to craft.

  12. Silver and Gold Mine:
    This is a mine which contains 3 Gold and 3 Silver rocks in it. The types of rocks are indicated by the colors on the mini-map below.

  13. TzHaar City Bank:
    While the bank contains no actual booths, you can still talk to TzHaar-Ket-Zuh to access your bank account.

  14. Fight Caves:
    This is a completely combat-based 'safe' mini-game, much like the fight pits. You fight sixty-three waves of monsters, varying in level from 22 up to 702. If you are successful, you will be rewarded with some amount of TokKul and a the legendary Fire cape. Refer to the TzHaar Fight Cave Mini-game guide for more information on how to play.

  15. The Fight Pits:
    Lastly, here is the Fight Pits mini-game. It is essentially a no limits free-for-all fight to the death. The last man standing will earn a small amount of Tokkul and a red skull above their head signifying they are the champion. While this may sound like a dangerous game, it is completely safe. You will not loose any items if you happen to die. Refer to the TzHaar Fight Pit mini-game guide for a quick rundown of the basics.

Sulphur Vents:

Spread throughout the city are sulphur vents, which act like normal fires. You will be able to cook any type of fish or meat on them. There is even one close to the bank, which makes training the Cooking skill relatively easy.
