My name is Cobus Geldenhuys (RSN: Cobus469) and I'm from South Africa. I've been a RuneHQ member since the start of June 2012. I quickly got involved in the RuneHQ submissions boards and it got me interested in becoming a full-on content editor. Just under a month later this became true and I was very glad to be part of the team. Sadly, my staff time was cut short due to lack of time as a result of starting my second semester at college. The experience, however; made it all worth it.
I'm an young guy who loves anything electronic/techy. I blast away on my drumset quite often and especially on some nice tracks by bands such as RED, Skillet, Kutless etc. When it comes to music... well I listen a large variety, all the way from basic pop, to electronic/dance/house/trance up to hectic death metal (but not so often - I prefer melodic metal).
I'm a strong Christian and truly love God. That said, I respect all religions and hence don't judge others - I hate it when people try force their religions on each other. Being Christian I do listen to a lot of Christian music - like all the bands I mentioned I love playing drums to.
I also have a thing for Rubik's Cubes, I own seven of them and I have a 2x2x2 and two 4x4x4 Rubik's Revenges. I don't use the Fridrich Method, I use the basic one and so far my fastest 2x2x2 speed solve was ~8 seconds, my fastest 3x3x3 speed solve was 37.5 seconds, and my fastest 4x4x4 solve was around 6 minutes (haha).
I'm also a big adrenaline junkie and I love extreme sports. I used to skate a lot but I have less and less time to do so. I've jumped Bloukrans Bridge here in South Africa (The worlds highest commercial bungy bridge at 216m) and I loved it. I want to go jump it backwards in the future. I'm a big supporter of Freestyle MX and wish to watch the XGames live someday. My newest extreme sport which I have come to love is rock/sport climbing. I've only climbed seriously for a few months now but I really love it - so much so that I have thought of maybe trying to ascend some of the main peaks, though I'm not sure about Everest yet.
I've been in close to 40 countries, and I've lived in 5. I've built a few computers, something I quite enjoy, and I like to program - which is why I am studying computer engineering (it's like Computer Science but add the engineering/hardware/mechanical part into the mix).
That's me... In a very condensed and messy format.
Oh and I'm a joker, so don't take anything I say too seriously
