Shaleclaw : (09:25 PM) Still wouldn't buy an Xbox One on principle that they still tried to make a huge money grab from their players.
Nofu : (08:52 PM) I was always buying the Xbox one. This just makes it sweeter. True fan <3
Mega Man : (08:24 PM) They were losing money on it because for every 2 xbox ones being preordered, there were 3 Ps4's being preordered.

I've always been curious about how the RS population has persisted over time, and as such I'd be interested in viewing a log of the current number of users playing over time.

It would be simple enough to setup, would just need to grab the current people currently online from the homepage X number of times per day and save it, then output it in graph or whatever form on a page.

That way we could see how the population changes from month to month, over important weekends, etc. Could even record important events, updates, and milestones in the log so we could see how the population was affected from each update.

I see very few people ever visiting a page with this information. Jagex also removed a page (specifically for fansites) which contained very easily parsed data of each and every world a few months back and is refusing to bring that back, so that makes me want to do something like this even less. There's such limited use of this info currently.
