Is this laptop good for runescape? I'm buying it this weekend and i wanted to make sure it was good.

Yes the laptop is very good for Rs and gaming in general (i7, Nvidia graphics card etc...)
it's a 2000$ laptop how do you expect rs not to work on it?

You can still lag. I can play Skyrim just fine on my laptop but I lag on runescape. Sometimes the lag comes from your internet connection

8GB is already kinda overkill
Hard drive 7200rpm is very nice
It's a 3rd gen i7, which is very new and fast as well
That graphics card is also amazing...

If you lag, this pc did not cause it... If there was something called overkill detail, you could run it with that laptop...

It looks beyond good enough, however keep in mind lagg is not just based on computer spechs your internet and the server youn play on make a bigger difference. my laptop only has a dual core 2.4 ghz cpu and 2gb of ram, intergrated gfx and I can play just fine as long as I have a good internet connection.

I hope so I'm only getting it because the laptop I have now is terrible with runescape. I usually get around 8 fps if i'm lucky so I thought I'd be best if I got a computer that was designed for gaming.

If you're gonna spend that much on a laptop, you might aswell just buy a quality desktop

Btw, 16 GB RAM is not needed XD

That's a great laptop. Should have no problem running RuneScape and if there's lag it certainly won't be because of the laptop.

Yeah. That will definitely play Runescape with the graphics maxed out (and I don't just mean the High detail setting, I mean going on custom and manually maxing everything). In fact, you could probably max out the graphics on practically any game on the market today with specs like that! Seriously, if you lag with that, it isn't going to be your PCs fault.

With software still catching up to the technological advances in the last couple generations, that's going to be a competitive computer for a very long time. Stellar investment, I would say!

you have so much to learn about computing... your connection between your laptop and the router are only one of the things affecting your runescape lag. you still need to factor in server distace bwteen your isp and the server. you also need to factor your internet speed, then there's the connection between you and the isp. just some things for example.
