The Major Leage of Baseball started the season this last week and I was wondering, does anyone here follow pro baseball?

For myself, I might watch a few games, but I'm constantly changing back and forth with a more exciting show and just catching up on the scores. Then I'll watch for highlights on Sports Center the next day. I may also check up on the standings whenever I'm feeling bored.

I just have a feeling that MLB is not as popular as it used to be and that Football is becoming (or is) the new American Pastime.

EDIT: I FORGOT MY TEAM!

I guess I like the Detroit Tigers, but only because their farm team is the Toledo Mudhens. I've been able to go to a bunch of Mudhen games and even watched Curtis Granderson play for them before he was pro.

I seem to jump on everyone one of your sports related threads... but hell, that's me. Haha.

I follow the MLB, definitely (I'm an ESPN junkie). My favorite team was the Astros, except they literally traded their entire roster so I don't know anyone anymore (plus, they're terrible).

Okay, so my favorite teams now are the Rangers and Red Sox.

You're right, baseball isn't America's past time anymore, but if you ask most Americans they still respect the sport of baseball and will eventually tune in when the playoffs roll around.

Detroit Tigers here and if Fister can heal himself and no one gets hurt, MLB, prepare for a steam roll from Detroit.

Braves fan here. I don't have much time to sit down and watch a full game, but I do my best to catch scores and highlights on ESPN.

Yankees had a high scorer against Boston.

EDIT: I don't really watch either, but I'll keep up on it with rankings. This thread is keeping me more up on baseball than usual actually.

Man, I don't even know who I like anymore. I haven't watched a single Rangers game this year, and I know I like the Yankees, but those games are tough to watch.

I did see Humber's perfect game yesterday, that was quite spectacular.

I wish I could have actually watched that game. All I saw was the 9th inning on Fox :/

I didn't see it, but I read about it. Good for him. Used to be a fan of the Mariners, Still at heart I guess) Cause I lived near Seattle for a number of years before moving to California 12 years ago.

The Orioles at the top of their division? Is Cal Ripken, Jr. playing again?? Haha. I can't remember the last time the Orioles were a relevant team...
