You need a watch, compass, sextant and chart along with the clue in your inventory.

Watch you can get from the dude at the Observatory.
Chart you can get from the same guy at Observatory.
Sextant you get from Murphy in Port Khazard.

Watch:  This item is obtained the first time by bringing a coordinate clue to the Observatory Professor, then to Brother Kojo in the Clock Tower.

Sextant: This item be obtained by first talking to the Observatory professor if you are carrying a coordinate clue which requires it, then going to see Murphy at the Trawler pier in Port Khazard.

And finally, Chart: Bring a Sextant and Watch to the Observatory professor to retrieve your Chart.

So first, grab your clue and go to the Observatory. Talk to the professor, then go to the Clock Tower and Port Khazard, and back to the Observatory. Seems silly but apparently the professor won't give you the chart unless you have the watch and sextant already, and you must be carrying your clue the whole time. Now the watch and chart can go straight into your toolbelt, but the sextant is supposed to be used so you have to carry that. I would suggest straight away doing the drop and ask for another so you can have a spare. I also suggest you carry a spade with you, even though you have one on your toolbelt. I have yet to be able to actually 'use' the one on my toolbelt at need. :/

PS. Yeah yeah, mine took longer to type up. :P

Like Kitty mentioned, I would suggest adding the Watch and Chart to your toolbelt for future clues. :).

Yeah, that's always a good idea Kate, but remember, you can't put your sextant on your toolbelt, so it's always to keep it, along with a spade or two, in a dedicated bank tab ^_^ Also, you can make sextants from 1 steel bar at a Clockworkers Bench in your Player Owned House. If you dont have one, feel free to pm GuthixDelta in game, and i will happily let you use my one =)

Guthix, I have yet to try it but I believe he has to receive a sextant through the proper channels first. It is nice that you can make this stuff at your poh now though. :P

Alternatively, you can use Meerkats and not use a sextant at all.  :)

Hello, this topic has been locked. There are many possible reasons for this...
  • the question you are asking has been answered,
  • you may have posted in the wrong forum,
  • the topic could be degenerating into/has already started a flame war,
  • the posts were straying too far from the original topic.

Your topic may have also expired. This means that no one has posted on it for a while, and it would be better to start a new topic to keep the conversation fresh.

This list of reasons that your topic may have been closed is given instead of a specific reason because moderators have the option to close multiple topics at once, with this standard reply added to the topic. This is much faster than closing multiple topics manually, and gives us more time for our other work.

If you have any further questions as to why this topic was closed, let me encourage you to check the FAQs, and to PM me if you do not find the answer there.

Have a nice RuneHQ day. :D
