So, who do you guys think won the first Presidential debate? The first one tends to favor the opponent.

I think Romney beat out Obama during it. He raised some good issues, and called Obama out on some of his remarks. Likewise, Obama called out Romney on some issues but I feel that Romney found more holes.

What do you all think? (we're not turning this into a debate of the debate, just a discussion of who you think won)

I wanted to hurl something at him every time he interrupted or cut off Jim Lehrer. Poor old fogey.

I think it depends on how you choose to look at it. If you want to look at body language, face value, the facts they were spitting out, Romney is the winner. He has nothing to lose, he's down in the polls, and he came out swinging, and that went well for him. If you take the time to reflect on what the candidates are saying, maybe do some fact-checking, Obama comes out on top.

Also, Romney coming out and saying he would cut funding to PBS was an extremely jerk move.

Great debate tonight. I see it Romney 1, Obama 0. But a pretty fair debate. Obama talks way too long over his 2 minute limit. Next time BZZ!

Romney "won." But the respect for the moderator and time was quite low. I question the "facts" both sides put out because one side will cite a study that makes the other side look bad, but completely discredit ("well, they don't know what they're talking about") any studies that make their side look bad. Sometimes the same researchres that they cite also make their side look bad. I'm not a fan of how politics are working in this country currently, but these debates give a better way of helping us chose who we want to vote for (since it's a more level arena than a campaign rally).

I wont get myself into this political debate nor will comment nay further than this post itself. I have a very strong opinion, and granted my opinion is like a butthole. Everyone's got one. But, Obama's completely sheltering the fact that the money laundring and the excess spending limits of his so called " vacation" not to mention the health care bill show that he is costing us several billions of dollars. He's sending out troops out to war yet again, when in fact he stated he will return them home. He's maing it extremely hard for people without major degrees to get jobs an the like. Although, Romney has some good political points. He's also going to cause a huge uproar. He's trying to not legalize marijuana, which only to spite Obama. His political views are far and inbetween the actual truth( But what Politician is, really?). And I wont be voting for either, to be completely honest.
