RuneHQ Welcome Parade
Welcome one and all to the opening ceremony of RuneHQ's birthday! Each year, we celebrate the triumph of being one of Runescape's biggest and most successful fansites by hosting some of the most spectacular events you will ever see!
This day, we mark the 9th year that RuneHQ was founded as part of the Global Gaming family, and has since expanded to include many talented community and staff members that bring everyone their guides and tips for Runescape, and so in honour of everyone who has participated in RuneHQ and been part of it's brilliant community, this celebration is for you!
What better way to open up the festivities than to lead a giant parade around Runescape, led of course by our Events Team members, to show Runescape that we are a fun and powerful community!

Citadel BBQ and Battlefield fun
The party doesn't end with a parade, as RuneHQ opens up the portal to it's magnificent Tier 7 Citadel for the biggest after-party Runescape will ever see! This will be a brilliant opportunity to see some of the amazing feats that the RuneHQ clan has achieved in game, as well as socialising with our wonderful community.
Feeling bloodthirsty? Our battlefield will be specially customised so that everyone can join in on the fun in games such as capture the flag and team deathmatch.
If you've never seen a citadel dragon before, then our citadel won't disappoint as our dragons can be seen swooping in on the fun, as well as perched upon magnificent jewel-encrusted gold stands.
Our Events Team will be ready to host fun games such as treasure trails as well as hide and seek!
So if you're after an upbeat atmosphere full of other friendly players, our Citadel is waiting for you!

Stronghold of Player Safety Raid
It's that time of the year again, when all the bugs and pests come crawling from the cracks of the floor board, in fact that's exactly what's happening over at the Misthalin Training Centre of Excellence!
The legs, the antenna, eurgh I can't bear to look!
Join us as we venture deep underground to an abandoned jail, where cockroaches roam free. Here, our members can kill these persistent pests for loot such as Rune armour and weaponry, as well as the odd runes and coins! Rumours have it that deep within the tunnels, there's a chest that contains a unique pair of gloves and some coins for those who haven't discovered it yet!
The Misthalin Training Centre of Excellence is a great way to brush up on your account security knowledge, as well unlocking the Safety First Emote!

Runespan
Enter a portal into a world of magic, where a labyrinth of connected floating islands contain some of the very essence used to bind runic energy.
Seek out floating essence, and charge it using the life force of elemental beings and nodes that wander the planes of the Runespan, but be careful not to get lost amidst the platforms that propel you from island to another. For every rune that you create, you will gain points which can be exchanged for rewards such as Wicked Runecrafting Robes, a Runic staff, or perhaps prestigious Esteem ranking.
Help locate the Yellow wizard within the Runespan, and they'll share with you what Runecrafting knowledge they possess!

Chompy Bird Hunting
Better than a thanksgiving Turkey, Rantz? Apparently so! This evening we're hosting a hunt for some of Runescape's finest avian cuisine, although attracting such a bird involves inflating frogs to lure... wait I'm sorry.. Inflating frogs? What kind of animal cruelty is this?
Rantz insists that the best way to attract Big Chompy Birds is to inflate frogs using the Ogre Bellows that can be found in his cave, and lay them within the marshes of Feldip Hills.
Those successful will be able to wear some of the finest feathered hats for raking up the kills, so if you fancy a hat, want to train your ranging skills, or perhaps you're working towards a trimmed completionist cape, then our event would be perfect opportunity socialise with RuneHQ and do just that!

You will have needed to complete "Big Chompy Bird Hunting" and "Zogre flesh Eaters" quests.
You will need an Ogre Bow, and some Ogre Arrows. These items can be made by fletching them from nearby Achey Trees, and Wolf Bones.

Stealing Creation
In another plane lies clay of a mystical property. Today we step forth into this dimension and use all our skill to transform this clay into items that can be used for survival, whether it be runes, food or combat weapon and armour, in order to vanquish tour opposing team. Whether you gather the clay yourself, steal from others, get friends to help you or even kill others for their clay is entirely up to you!
Those who have work hard to gather the clay may be rewarded with clay used outside of this plane that can give bonus experience in skills of their choosing!
